AC had already started his attack by the time Schleck stopped, didn't he?

It's not as if anyone else waited either.

Yes he had. It's not like he saw him drop his chain and THEN responded. He was already in full flight and had to swerve to avoid crashing into him.

Ok all you AC haters, one question>?

Did AS take advantage of the peleton being slowed down by FS crash and drive home 1 min because of it? Fair play by AS? Payback is a ***** isn't it.

Shrek had a real nice gap on Contador, who had very little response to what was happening. Vino was nearly following alone.

I know all AC haters are having a heart attack right now...but this is bike racing. And again, remember 2007. :D

At least, if AC gets yellow, Saxo Bank is going to stop playing dumb wait and see games and it should be interesting.

Usualy when the chain drops, it goes right back on if you change the gear. I bet bertie guessed that whats going to happen. This can easily get you out of rythm and make you legs cramp. It's this that contador hoped he could use to his advantage. No way Bertie should forsee that Andy had to stop and fix it.

Have to disagree, AC was responding, and I don't think he went full speed up the rest of the climb considering how much he was looking back.

No that's because he wasn't able to make a bigger gap. But you could tell he was trying his hardest.

He knows Schleck is the better climber this year so decided not to wait.

Did AS wait for AC on stage 3 after AC got stuck behind the crash? er, no, he had Canc put the motor down to try and gain as much time as possible.

Karma, turnabout, whatever you want to call it.

AC didn't have the yellow on stage 3. You show respect and wait for the yellow jersey. Contador should have waited and he knows it. He felt that Andy was stronger yesterday. Conta put in all he had and coldn't shake Andy. Today Andy gapped Contador surpringsingly easy. If ALberto really felt he was stronger than Andy he wouldn't have pulled when Andy had the mechanical.

I agree with people who think menchov/sanchez/contador didn't quite go flat up the hill. I think they weren't sure which way would look worse... gapping the guy with the mechanical or not racing after getting the gap.
