MSR climbs are not overly steep or long. The climbs in the Melborune worlds actually have some pitches at 13%. Finishing straight is 6% also.

The italians who rode the course said it is like Amstel or Gent Wevelgem without the cobbles. Will be very windy down in geelong and the trip to geelong also.

Cadel will win again. Team Australia will mash tempo on the first climb and the Cadel will rip it part on the 2nd and solo to victory!

next year's Copenhagen course is more for sprinters

Copenhagen is definitely sprinter friendly, but Cancellara needs to drop more than the pure sprinters. My point was really just that IMO for Cancellara the harder the route the better (within limits of cause), he did fine in Mendrisio which was far harder I would think.

Yes but Melb has steeper pitches where a rider could get away like Cadel.

He was my other tip. This course is perfect for him and the home staright is a hard uphill finish so he will like that.

Boom worked hard all Tour and I think he is just dead tired. Since it's his first Tour de France.
Just a guess though.

But ofcourse. It's a great shame a young 24-year old first timer does not do a good TT. Shocking!
