shleck and contador are not good decenders, wouldn't be surprised if 9-10 catch up to them.

I've never heard they were bad descenders either. Just average. We'll see how big the gap is.

You could take all that data, assimilate it, and produce an killer website that would show everything. Using it in conjunction with the TV broadcast would change the way cycling is watched.

Like the HTC tracker on google maps

Contador looked really good by the top. Looks like the Tourmalet, as expected, will be the decisive stage.

Lulu for the stage from Cunego. They will drop the other two.
Sanchez to catch the duo, while Levi has Dennis and Gesink!

Ascent times:

AC/AS: 1:04:57

Breakaway: 1:09 ish

I am really curious to see how this compares to Virenque or Pantani's times in 97 and 98

I really don't understand why they haven't adopted it. If it can be done for ultra-distance runners (fellow weight-weenies) surely it can be done for TDF Bikes / numbers / riders.

Edit to add: As someone pointed out, HTC is doing it.

Should be a fun descent for Levi.

Any bets if they can bridge to AC/AS?

Steegmans has some kick to him but he is no Fast Eck. He would have been a wasted slot with the likes of Farrar, Hushovd and Cavendish in the race, all with dedicated trains.

Really? didnt he win on the champs elysee in'08? - yea hes been quiet as a mouse this year but from a fans perspective I want to see as many sprinters in the tour as possible.
I mean how valuable are Wiggans 7 domestiques now....? - They should have bought Henderson or Russel Downing instead.

Voigt pops and Contador straight to the front. Schleck puts on his sunglasses to try his poker face. Then he hits the front. Loving this battle.

Who would be in virtual yellow right about now? One of these two?

Andy is virtual yellow, Lulu is the closest in the break around 5 minutes behind Andy.

There's only two stages left which should end in a big bunch sprint.

He won on the Champs with Tommeke's lead-out train, I don't think he'd manage anything on his lonesome.

I can't really fault sky for trying to bring a team with some climbers in it. Yes, Wiggins isn't really in the same league as AC/AS, but you can make the same argument that Hendy and EBH are not in the same league as Thor/Cav/Farrar
