Oh yeah I forgot they took Armstrong out of the rankings. And I was so surprised that I didnt find anything faster than 1998 in the 2000s!
So surely it must be Armstrong 2005? probably 41.7/8-ish?

You are correct. LA @ 41,654 km/hr, Basso @ 41,615 km/hr

Claudio Chiapucci got his first Tour Podium largely thanks to being part of a 4-man-breakaway that gave him a 10 minute headstart on the favourites. Which were the 3 other riders in that breakaway? First and last name please :p

I don't know the answer but how many different countries has the tour visited?

(I will class a country as the existing borders today and a member of the UN)
