If it’s alright with everyone i thought the following might interest some of you?

Last year only two different riders wore the maillot jaune during the Tour i.e. Cancellara and Wiggins.
Not including 1999 where Armsrong won it back from Kirsipuu which is the last year this previously occurred and name both riders?

As a bonus can you say who is credited with winning stage 18 in that year?

In 2009 there were three as did 2005. Best I could find.

That bonus question helped me a lot, as in 1977, in one of the later stages (I think it was be the 18th) Agostinho crossed the line first, but got dq'ed.
In that tour only Thurau and Thévenet wore yellow.

1977 Dietrich Thurau until stage 15, then Bernard Thevenet.
The 18th stage was won by Joaquim Agostinho, second placed was Antonio Menendez, but both failed the doping test, so wasn't considered as winner. Third placed was Merckx, but since he wasn't tested, according to the rules he couldn't be named as winner of the stage, so no official winner.

1977 - Dietrich Thurau & Bernard Thévenet
The 18th stage finished 1st Agostinho, 2nd Menendez and 3rd Merckx however the first two both failed the doping test and as Merckx was never tested after the stage NOBODY is credited as the winner!

What do the following wins have in common?
1976 Van Impe
1980 Zoetemelk
1985 Hinault
1987 Roche
2008 Sastre

Just a guess without checking confirmation but all of the winners seized yellow on the Alpe d'Huez on their course to winning?
