Nah, but he's doing the Nats so I figure he's around. Langkawi is in February now so that's not a problem (if CDT are going?). Would have been good to see him in Adelaide but I figure he either doesn't want to go, or the system doesn't want to acknowledge him.

I guess if he impresses well enough at Nats they'll have no choice and take him. :D

Not sure this "exclusion" is part of "the feud", just giving it to other riders. Might have been nice seeing some of the other Aussies in there as well but meh, there's only 6(7?) spots.

Javier could go in breaks. It would be nice to see him at the PT level. Rojas has to get a stage because otherwise Ventoso should be their main sprinter. Valverde to win on Wilunga.

Would be nice to see Javier Moreno Bazan have a year without injuries and maybe he gets to ride for himself or in a free role in the giro.

Ventoso won on Willunga last year, he might be up for the double?

Hugh

1. Ventoso doesn't ride the TdU this year.
2. Last year the finish was like 30km after Wilunga Hill and now it's on top of Wilunga Hill. Big difference.

I'll have a Valverde avatar for week if he wins on Wilunga Hill. Imo he is no chance to win there.
Yes, absolutely no chance. Except the last time he raced there he was the strongest...

It's just a prep race, in the Ardennes he might still have trouble but he should really be one of the favourites for this.

then valverde it is;)

looking forward to tdu, what about the broadcast/highlights?how will it be?

The Wilunga stage will be live, but on at a crazy hour (0400CET or so), and streams will probably be hard to come by. Should be able to download it a few hours after though (same with the highlights for the other stages).

I argue that he was the strongest on that day but what happened last time has no bearing on what will happen this year. No way will he win.
