Pellizotti is underrated in this forum, he was fifth on the Angliru last year literally taking Nibali to the line, the only one in the team that could do something similar is Pozzovivo.
He's not only his lieutenant but also his last man on the mountains.

Delphino hasn't been anywhere close this year compared to last season. Maybe he is just banking for Tour, we will see. The point was Rowe is important ally of Froome on and off road, which makes him more important to be selected than newcomers.

Good question. Maybe Henao or Thomas to ride for GC in the Vuelta? Or De La Cruz?
I can't see Kwiatkowski going for GC in a grand tour already this year, maybe next year....

De la Cruz has said that he has been promised leadership in the Vuelta, but I would imagine Thomas wants that as well.
I believe Thomas said he would see what he could do, whether that was GC or stage wins. De la Cruz for GC makes sense though, he's done top 10's before there, maybe Sky send some other potential top 10 riders and see who goes best.

Apparently there's going to a Team Sky womens team from next year.

Better late than never.

I have said this many times. If you want a WT license they should make it you have a womens team.

Re Thomas & Dawg leadership. This could make things interesting. How many times have we seen joint leadership fail?

There's more in the works than just a women's team. They want to invest into cyclocross as well. A Belgian newspaper wrote a few days ago that they have a plan in the works that revolves around Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and Thomas Pidcock. Van Aert for instance could sign and combine the road with the cross, with all endorsement of Brailsford.

Sky getting into CX wouldn’t surprise me. It’s really taken off in the UK recently, it lends itself very well to TV production and there is a huge gap for a company like Sky to come in and establish itself as a promoter in the UK. Do that, along with picking up foreign stars and they have a great wedge to get into the big scene in Europe.
