He doesn't have to bring out the egg beater, and if it reduces the critical questions, he won't want to either. The Tour is already over in any case.DanielSong39 said:Truly a clinic-worthy performance from Sky.
No sight of Froome alien mode, however.

Did you see Poels up Zoncolan? Or Alpe d'Huez?hrotha said:Now this performance does go beyond what I'd consider normal of Poels elsewhere.

Agree, this is definitely a new level for him. Especially the consistency he's shown over three weeks. Interestingly Henao - the only one of the doms who has had anything clinic related close to actually sticking on him - looks by far the weakest of their climbers at the moment.hrotha said:Now this performance does go beyond what I'd consider normal of Poels elsewhere.

They were one-offs; he's doing it day after day here. Dropping Quintana and Aru with ease despite having been at the front for half the climbs in the race.carton said:Did you see Poels up Zoncolan? Fwiw, Poels is still very inconsistent, and he's always shown in the past that on his day, he's a really really top climber. But today was just ridiculous
