Seriously does sky think people just forgot about US Postal?

This is beyond a joke.... Proper Trump plagiarism

not plagiarism anymore, UKPostal is better: when did the last Uniballer's dom, idling after his job was done, incidentally pace the 2nd GC man to the line?

Yes, Poels got bored and decided to give Mollema a tow, it was a little too much, well it was a lot too much!

Today reminded me of the sick feeling after PSM last year, that was previously only there in the USPS days

at least that was vaguely exciting. everyone who attacks the Sky train in this race looks like they're in quicksand. except Richie Porte, who then ends up riding as Froome's super domestique.

BMC doesn't have marginal gains but Porte has them so he can not only keep up but attack!

Richie is riding for a new team with his marginal secrets, but he refuses to give them out to his team mates. Imagine being on the same Tour squad as him, while he sits away from everyone, all secretive and silent:

"Why aren't you touching the Nutella, Richie?"
No reason.

"Why do you always bring that pillow around, Richie?"
No reason.

"There's Gatorade, Richie. Give the pineapple juice a rest!"
No.

"Team meeting, Richie! Stop warming down!"
No.

"We're stopping for a coffee. Do you want some, Richie?"
No.

It is amazing the size of Brailsford ego, that they expect people to ignore or forget that we have seen this before with Banesto and USPS.

Maybe they hoping for a Banesto result.

But what is going to change? It seems like no one related to cycling cares. It's just these boards.

Sadly it's only here sense is spoken about the disgrace that is playing out before our eyes. I've just joined as anywhere else one gets shot down in flames for questioning the piss take that is Sky cycling.

And they want to stop Russia going to the Olympics and let the Great Britain Men's Road Race team in? Give me strength.

I truly cannot see any change, because no one, bar the clinic 12 in their mom's basements, seems to question it.

TeamGB/Sky have UCI president in their pocket and Sir Craig Reedie running WADA. No wonder Brailsford is so cocky.

I suppose the only hope is they piss someone off who knows the whole story and they are willing and able to tell it.

But that last statement is why DB is so cocky and sure of himself
the fact that should anyone with any inside knowledge go after SKY not only do they have the weight of the money and the UCI behind them and inside men at WADA etc. They have the might of the Murdoch empire to destroy whoever it is. Can you imagine what would happen to anyone in the media if they publicly went after SKY

News channels, Paper reporters, paprazzi and the full weight of the murdoch resource would go so far into their background and history they would be destroyed as credible before their first interview could be published.

No one is going to take that risk - not in this day and age of trial by media.

Unfortunately this charade is pretty much ensconced in the limelight for as long as the DB ego wants it to be

The hope is that the person is at rock bottom and the weight of all those things will make no difference and like Landis has nothing left to lose.

For those interested Dr Ross Tucker, South African Sports Scientist, will be on 'Off the Ball' tomorrow evening between 7-9pm talking numbers at this years TdF.

I'm still waiting for the Froome attack that adds another 2 minutes to his lead. We at least demand entertainment. Without the shock and awe attack this will just be an empty victory.

Many are. I think it will come only if it is needed. Sky are trying hard, imo, to win this by the smallest margin or at least make it not look like a crushing win. After tomorrows ITT and more time taken out of his rivals will mean it wont come.

Ross is increasingly becoming one of the few remaining credible journalists and I hope he keeps on fighting the good fight when it would be easy to disappear and say nothing. I really hope that some day he gets the vindication and truth that his work and efforts deserve.

Watching the bu****it of the past 2 weeks is sickening. it's going to take someone from within or a good investigative journalist with absolutely no cycling connections to get to the bottom of this charade. The reality is that for all the lies and misleading information we are no further on in terms of hard evidence on the whole sky/Froome story.

There are 3 distinct groups of people.

1) Those who will lap up the PR marginal gains *** but who are nothing more than casual observers of the sport. These are primarily their target audience and are those who will provide the market for their money making off the back of tour success.

2) Those who are sceptical but who cannot outright applaud as the dominance seems too good to be true

3) Those who do not believe and can see through the nonsense spouted by Brailsford and Walsh constantly trying to defend and justify their dominance away through their ability to work smarter and scientific edges etc.

In cycling circles I believe the true fans are weary of their dominance and they certainly won't win any popularity contests. Still, Chris told us yesterday that they are starting to convince the sceptics!!!

Sky can now choose HOW they win the tour with Froome and by how much. Look at how Froome crossed the line today and tell me that he wasn't riding completely within himself relative to his rivals. Some of the other GC guys were weaving over the line while Froome cruised in on LRPs wheel. In press conferences it is obvious that both Brailsford and Froome are trying to downplay their mountain dominance. Add on the 30/40 seconds that Froome lost on Ventoux and potentially at least another minute on mountain stages where he simply rode on wheels and he should be 4-5 minutes clear. After tomorrow he will keep the jets cool in the remaining stages and maybe even give up some token seconds to keep it normal.

It sickens me to hear gullible fans criticise Quintana for not attacking. He is probably the purest climber in the race. lives at altitude and yet simply hasn't got the power to live with these sky guys on mountains, some of whom are 10 kilos heavier yet he can't launch an attack because of the pace they are setting. Yet he and the other teams get the criticism for poor performances by fans and media. Wake up and smell the roses.

And yet the stage winner was quite a bit ahead of Porte and Froome. He got there quicker because he rode faster.

Quintana was today's big loser...but he didn't just lose to Sky riders. He list to BMC, Orica and Astana.

He got there becuase he rode faster when the peloton was cruising along during the early stages
on the climb he was considerably slower and by the top he was almost unable to ride in a straight line.
I can tell you that climb is an absolute *** and the inside of the hairpins at times are crippling.

For fromme to be sailing up there without breathing hard is an absolute insult to anyone that has ever ridden a biker in anger.

At least LA had the good grace to show a bit of hurt once his team had softened people up and sweated a bit in his efforts

Froome just sits there as if he was on a sunday recovery ride to the local cake shop

Yet he was 2 minutes slower than cruisin' froomey on the last ascent. Dawg was following Brailsfraud's master plan, take it easy don't shock people, we want to make friends, look human, no more embarrassing questions, keep it at around 6W/kg, our boys will make sure nobody can bother you.

Well i dont know what you were watching
Watch froome cross the line in this clip at 50 seconds on and he is cruising along behind richie on the steepest part of the climb. That car park is about 15% that they are riding across at the top of the dam (I have ridden it well over a dozen times over the years)

I think you might be entering the realms of fantasy with that one.

I'm happy to be proved wrong, and I may well be over the next 3 days, but to me it looked like a bike race, not a problem exercise.

Happy to watch it again. Did you have a link to it for me, please?

I mean what next really for cycling a sport already tainted by its history and us fans wanting to believe in a clean sport ?
Seriously can't Sky see that people are feed up with total dominance year after year after year ?
There are 19 other teams who all after the same amount of not more training rides don't even come close to the skybots ?

What would save the tour ? Smaller teams ? Would be funny tho if it was invitation only to the Tour and the organisers turned around to sky and said "naah not this year, let's give another team a chance"
