Even cut short, what he said was incredibly stupid.

And as everyone knew this was coming he really had all the time to think of a wise answer.

"I currently prefer not to comment on it as I rode for the same sponsor and still have friends and colleagues in that organisation." Add the obligatory: "What I do want to say is that I never used doping nor witnessed doping"

This is a perfectly acceptable answer. It gives you time to await the report and still doesn't force you to pile on.

Like Yates then who alledgely just drove around in a car and thought Lance was amazing, even 93>96 never saw a hint of doping...........from his and Kellys interview team DS's should of been prescribing something useful i.e glasses

Hincapie's affidavit on the Wall Street Journal site. He talks about himself, Kevin Livingstone and a rider whose name has been redacted living in Como.

This unnamed rider went on to do well at the 1996 Vuelta after using EPO. Who lived in Como, rode for Motorola and finished in the top 10 of the 1996 Vuelta? Bobby Julich. Currently coach at Team Sky!

Oh dear Mr Brailsford, you are upto your neck in it!

Jullich spent most of his career living in Nice and training with Vinokourov. Axel Merckx lived in Como and finished 17th. Peron also finished top ten. Likely is Jullich, but could be any one of three.

Yates is a different kettle of fish than a neo who was one year at Trek-Livestrong.

I have no problem with a Neo saying "No comment". He still has his career in front of him, he probably never witnessed the A-team transgressions, there simply isn't a reason why he couldn't just dodge this one.

That he chose to react is dumb.

Gah, here comes the spin.

Pathetic.

"The news about Armstrong don't matter. He is still a legend of the sport."

Whiskey, tango, foxtrot.

Maybe you should try a different interpretation of the comments, because Dowsett still comes across as a *******.

So what did Dowsett mean, then?

I'm not interested in what you think of Dowsett; I want to know what you think was the point/message he was trying to get across.

Either Jullich or Peron. Jullich spent most of his career living in Nice and training with Vinokourov. Both then rode for CSC (Jaksche references rider four recieving cortisone at CSC)

Oh and Sky frightened?

These are guys who thought phone tapping was ok......

It’s funny you mention that.

Jullich, Yates all know what’s out there and Lance can’t help himself putting this stuff into emails and telling people.

Oh and when Lance decided to mentor Wiggins. I’m sure all that’s on emails to Shumi’s son as well.

And the those photos of motorman with Yates appearing the files. Oh dear.

I wish you were right but sadly you are worng.

Why do you not volunteer to hand out the "Greatest Doper Award" - ups sorry the "Pantani Prize" at the Giro next sommer. If you do I can suggest another new prize for the Giro, the "Merxx Prize" or "Doping gone wrong but saved by the Doctor".

I understand that Alex Dowsett will be on 5Live at 4ish, expanding on earlier comments.

I guess this is in 1/2 hour.

Ah, so Brailsford has collered him and has told him to go back on and back track.

Too late now Dave Bruyneel

I can't really come up with a positive interpretation of his comments.

At "best" I can only guess that he thinks that everybody was doping then and Armstrong being caught in this manner doesn't take anything away from his accomplishments.

Only way Wiggins has any credibility now is to come out with a very strong statement against Lance and US Postal. Something tells me thats not going to happen though...

Did Fabian Cancellara ever declare himself one of the first clean Paris Roubaix winners, and say that anyone who beats him must be doping?

Poor Dowsett. He's just a young, naive MEATHEAD. Brailsford's even making him go on live radio later to explain just exactly what he meant lol.

I think most of us know that was what he meant ;)

It was just so stupid and should have been avoided. But it's a non issue. This has no tangent on doping at Sky.

Great work putting the young guy on the hook. What about the teamleader saying something!

This kid shouldn't be kicked about by Dave Bruynel like this.
