362k GBP is still a heck of a lot of research.

Tell anyone that comes asking around it's wind tunnel time. You know, like Armstrong used to dodge doping by saying bikes are so much better. Wind tunnels are marginal gains.

Psychiatry is an interesting form of PED's. Lowered anxiety, increased focus would be very beneficial to some. LOTS of meds for that.

Hilarious the guy is selling parts work. Highly recommended reading, written in plainer English. http://www.amazon.com/Parts-Work-Illustrated-Guide-Inner/dp/0979889707 Part of the reason it hasn't taken-off is there's hardly any indecipherable, super-technical language in that book.

Maybe Carmichael will make another million on this one by larding science-like junk on the ideas.

Wow. People here have obviously run large R&D projects. And yet, I get the impression they have not...

Cue everyone suddenly being ex-Boeing, IBM, etc... employees.

Try reading it more carefully. That was the figure for office expenses. Research was £86k.

Yeah my bad. Thanks. Wait, what!? 368,000 GBP on office expenses. That's a lot of emails.

Am I reading right that they spent 1 million GBP on PR and marketing? Up from 200k in 2010. 2010 someone died and people got sick, 2011 the team starts going bonkers with results. All mimsy were the borogroves of correlation.

£1.4 million on "Bike & Performance Equipment" seems quite high for a team with a large bike sponsor.

Unless that performance equipment came in little white bags.

The mos expensive lunch box I found on the internet costs 49,95:

There is nothing there that suggests team wide doping.

Oh it's laughable anyone here is trying to analyse Team Sky's expenditure. Not that it's stopped many of you in the past analysing with the barest minimum of information and lack of understanding. Just dive in anyway

Point taken.

another example of why Vaughters' clean cycling PR shouldn't remain unchallenged:
We also have to remind ourselves that Wiggins came out of Garmin, which runs the most stringent and visionary internal doping-program in sports. Argyle genius Jonathan Vaughters is confident that Wiggins is as clean as Christophe Bassons.

Does Vaughters really want clean cycling? His vouching for Sky achieves the opposite as it stops people from inquiring into Sky.

Shouldn't that be anti-doping?

Wow.

I've been critical of lots of the spurious 'proofs' suggested on here as evidence of Sky doping, but I've got to say presenting an audit report as an argument for them being clean is right up there on my 'hogo-meter' scale of dubious arguments.

Just reading the Rapha press-release dressed up as a news story on the CN front page about Sky's new kit, and the following description of the Soigneur's bags jumped out:

Join the dots. . .

Noticed that too. Merely coincidental but unfortunate--for Sky, LOL--in the branding exercise :D

On Rapha as a segue to the broader theme of this entire thread, my feeling is the debate between the apologists vs. the incriminators can be reduced to this:

"You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear."

Pick your "poison". A lot of things don't pass the smell test.

I'm trying to sort out why Sky is getting all the special heat.

I get the heat itself. If there are 100 forms of undetectable EPO out there, it's kind of amazing that Sky is dominating in that environment.

But why the special heat? What is Sky doing that everybody else isn't it doing? Aren't they just employing 'marginal gains' effectively in a cheating-saturated environment?
