Froome's new Nike ad:

What am I on? I'm on team Sky, riding intelligently 6 hours a day. Nothing to see here. Geert who?

Just do it.

nike has a habit choosing biggest doper in the sport, but again usually the star in cycling is usually the biggest doper

Unreal how a mediocre cyclist as Porte can be this good all of sudden. I hate being a cynic but I can't help being one. Maybe - and hopefully - I am being wrong, but I am have serious doubts here.

Port inspires my dream of winning Tour:D

You danish people make me sick. You gave us cheats like Riis and Rasmussen. But rather than thank the Brits for making the sport clean and bringing some legitimacy back to the sport you guys are too bitter to accept that sky would never dope and ask stupid senseless questions like why Rasmussens doctor was working with sky if they are clean.

because he wanted to win on a clean team, duh. With Rasmussen he had to dope the riders but with sky since they aren't doping and doping is his speciality so he doesn't have to do anything. They were paying him lots of money to do nothing, who would turn down such a offer.

You guys should be building statues of froome and bailsford and thanking them for saving sport from the chaos you put it in. You danish and the other European people are the problem. Let sky be the solution ffs. Who better to lead the way to clean sport afterall than a major capitalist company that has proven itself to have absolutely 0 morals.

It's a disgrace that you try to hinder those who are carrying the water for your sins. Pathetic.

Leave the Danes alone Hitch.

Tour de France 2007 | Michael Rasmussen

Stage 9, Col du Telegraphe (11.9 km, 7.14 %, 851 m):
Michael Rasmussen (DEN / Rabobank) | 33:15, 21.47 Kph, VAM 1536 m/h, 5.66 W/kg

Stage 9, Col du Galibier (last 7.8 km, 8.40 %, 655 m):
Michael Rasmussen (DEN / Rabobank) | 23:37, 19.82 Kph, VAM 1664 m/h, 5.86 W/kg

Stage 14, Plateau de Beille (15.9 km, 7.86 %, 1250 m):
Michael Rasmussen (DEN / Rabobank) | 44:17, 21.54 Kph, VAM 1694 m/h, 6.08 W/kg

Stage 15, Col de Peyresourde (last 8.78 km, 7.47 %, 656 m):
Michael Rasmussen (DEN / Rabobank) | 23:26, 22.48 Kph, VAM 1680 m/h, 6.11 W/kg

Stage 16, Col d'Aubisque (16.7 km, 7.09 %, 1184 m):
Michael Rasmussen (DEN / Rabobank) | 43:18, 23.14 Kph, VAM 1641 m/h, 6.06 W/kg

As we know Froome and Porte are in the same ballpark, and we know they're clean, I think the talk of Rasmussen doping is uncalled for. I know he admitted and all that but the numbers speak for themselves. 6.1w/kg = clean, regardless of who's putting out those figures.

Agreed, 6.1 w/kg is barely superhuman, and of course you gotta question the methodology, in reality according to my peer reviewed papers he was only doing 5.9 w/kg which means he was clean.

Skipped the number because I know them by head...

FFS, but, we are told time after time cycling is cleaning up? Is clean? The numbers are down?

Must all be a coincidence. Not?

Perhaps someone like mastersracer can teach us what we are seeing wrong. Or, I will read Vayer's next column.

Do your homework and ask where Wiggins was training in 2009. It was not at or under the supervision of Garmin, or that is what we are led to believe.

BC/SKY: the cancer is back from remission.

Sorry for my language.

We'll see, do you think other teams will stay letting their a@@es get kicked by donkeys? Blanco needs a new sponsor, if the Gendt can become third in the Giro?
Indeed.

And, the good part of it is, Team Sky do no even hide it; they live high and train high. But, not for the extra red blood cells, just for acclimatisation.

Can you actually read, where did I mention 2009?

I can read perfectly:

In Wiggins first season at Sky he was basically in charge of his own training (and from all accounts didn't train that hard), which didn't work out to well, but in 2011/2012 his training was monitored more.
So, why didnt he train under BC in 2010 Del? Like in 2009? BP warning? Ending up in Giro and Tour in the 20's and 30's might just be what his true capabilities are?

But please, keep your eyes closed when watching your fellow countrymen suddenly dominate pro - cycling.

Col de l'Ospedale (last 10 km, 6.88 %, 688 m). Chris Froome: 25:41, 23.36 Kph, VAM 1607 m/h, 5.98 W/kg.

Clean.
Of course. Froomey is the real deal.

Also (ignoring the flatter final km)

Col de l'Ospedale ("10km"→"1km" [=9 km], 7.24 %, 652 m). Chris Froome: 23 min 38 sec, 22.85 Kph, VAM 1655 m/h, 6.08 W/kg.

He sat behind Vasil for about 40% of the time. So it's probably 5.8ish for the climb

Never before in the history of cycling was so obvious that some unknown drug is being employed. Not even Armstrong performances were so ludicrous. It's not just Froome and Wiggo, it's f*ck*ng everyone in the team, in every single race !!!

Watching today's races on TV made me really sad.

Professional cycling is dead.

Exactly what I'm like right now and to suffer the ignorant fellow Brits tell me nothing is going on and that I'm the paranoid one etc. it stinks. I hope they get busted real soon and the sport repairs.

Oh dear, while still wanting to keep an open mind, it does look increasingly implausible

I bet Froome was fresh and didn't warm down after the stage. He was only on the front for 6.1km, no need to warm down.

What about the classics team? They aren't even remotely close to being up there with Sagan and Cancellara. Sky have had as big a focus on classics this year as stage races, yet they haven't even been on the podium of a semi-classic.

Insert Sagan in Gent - Wevelgem where you have Froome and Wiggo.
I felt exactly the same watching that race.

Taking 28 seconds out in the last 3km from a group of 10 on a flat run-in then showboating with wheelies with NO exhaustion anywhere is greater than anything I have seen Sky do all season so far.

Cycling - I don't know why anyone bothers any more. What a joke.

The more I see the SKY team. The more I think something is not normal. So i'm supposed to believe that all this comes from better training and marginal gains? And no other Pro team has figured it out yet? NOT NORMAL!

I watched R. Porte at Saxo. So he goes to sky and is now a world beater? Cmon?

Outstanding victory for Dan Martin in Catalunya good for the sport. Watching him climb and suffer is reassuring. Same with Chris Froome."
And...go....
