Good article. Good summary of why Sky are so obviously dirty.

The article was interesting. A rider on the team makes the decision to not allow Kimmage to embed himself in the team? Just like Armstrong controlled US Postal, Wigans is controlling UK Postal.

Froome actually reminds me of Armstrong: never showed any promise or potential as a GT rider in the past years, then all of a sudden riding like the next Eddy Merckx....

It's like the second coming of Armstrong and USPS. First testing their doping program at Vuelta (1998/2011) and then go and kill everyone at the Tour (1999/2012).

Just read that Sky have tried to justify the hiring of Leinders by abusing the memory of someone who tragically died young. That truly is entering the cynical Realpolitik world of USPS.

where is that from?

I find this not only far-fetched, but also disgusting, and very insulting to their medical staff at the time:

Totally agree.

I thought when some sky fan on here called posters 'autistic' that was a low point. I was not offended for myself or other posters, but it was an insult to those who unfortunately where born with that disability. To use a disability in that way is totallty out of order and the individual banned by the moderators immediately. I wonder waht any member of the British paraolympics sports team think of that.

Why has Sky and Wiggins not apologies for his disgusting behaviour at the press conference.

From what I have read in dutch articles, his job was to ensure riders didn't kill themselves, didn't test positive, and provide them with advice on how to accomplish both.
I think that must be closer to the truth than the way he is being described as 'the new Conconi'. That is totally uncalled for imo. Yes he was responsible for the 2007 Rabo debacle as the team medicine principle but I cannot see him as the mastermind. The rumours of the Vienna bloodbank also point in another way we might say.
Wow, even Lance has got it in for Sky as well

Armstrong files restraining order against team Sky/
:D

Thats why LA is suing Sky.

The only question is will Sky tone it down today and not make it so obvious. I'm guessing not. Lot of people will be puking today at the clinic.

There's a race in France today? :p

I just think that Sky is a two year ahead the rest of the teams when it comes to professionalism, traning and nutritiion. Believe me, there was plenty to gain here. For so long cyclists have had months off training, som even bing drinking, eating wrong etc. Cyling have been way behind other endurance sports.

Cyclingtraining have been extremely traditional. Up untill now. Give it two-three years and the other teams will have closed the gap.

And remember, GB have put millions and millions into sports science for the past couple of years preparing for the olympics. Team Sky is apart of that research and they are gaining a lot from it.

Others have to learn. And they will.

LMFAO. Sounds like you are comparing the early '80's to now.

Why should we believe you ... who did you stop coaching because they were no longer using modern methods?

I suspect we will find out, at some point, the go drugs involved.

Hopefully sooner rather than later... but I would not bet on that.

Finding experienced, respected doctors with detailed knowledge of the demands placed on athletes by events like the Tour de France who had not worked for professional cycling teams was, Brailsford said, not easy

So they picked one with a murky past even by cycling doctor standards.

Actually there are doctors in cycling with better reputations, but reputations are not primary when there are self-imposed deadlines to be met.

Cycling really just needs a likable Tof winner. Wiggins is not it. He looks unhealthy, and comes across as arrogant and brash in the media. His comments to the press on the comparison to USPostal was appalling....l. I'm sure Team Sky PR, cringed at his comments. If anything is for sure at team sky, their leader is an ***.

Well the rest day photo makes him look like an anorexic :p

Porte continiously closing gaps like it takes no effort at all. Seriously, can someone takes these guys off the road? They probably won't even notice.

If you question Leinders you love bacterial infections.

Porte, after responding to a couple of attacks by VDB on the the Grand Colombier, effortlessly closes a gap of one minute on Nibali on the Richmond. Can there be any doubt left?

1730 Paris time i think

I was joking but you know what….. I’m not sure I can be bothered watching the Tour anymore. Its lacks total interest from a pure racing perspective and when you know the results there’s no point. Alas I don’t think anyone really cares. The winner has be determined and the local press to the winner is not going to question how it was won.

Sad to say but I actually wish Bruyneel got his hands on Andy Shleck good and proper and gave him the full program Ferrari style. Could have made for a good Tour.

I also officially want Contador to come back on the biggest program possible. I want him to have a free reign on the gear.

I am just a little surprised and dissapointed. POrte was riding tempo on the Grand Colombier, then the descent and then chases Nibali back from a 1min gap on a climb. I am just amazed at that.
