Kinda funny that Ryder knew Leinders was the go to man but Brailsford and Sky had no idea about his past...

If only Brailsford had asked Millar to ask Hesjedal they could've avoided this unpleasantness :D

So true.

But that's why David Miller knows they are clean. Because he must have followed up and asked.

Had nothing to do with his sister working there. No conflict of interest in that statement.

He'll be an excellent impartial representative within the UCI one day.

God bless David.

Leinders checked the saddles to make sure riders weren't trying to sneek epo into their marginal gains ;)

The most interesting part, for me, of the Rasmussen claim is that Leinders met with the UCI.

What I mean is that he appears to have some very good inside connection into the UCI on blood profiles and results of each riders profiles.

And the UCI came to him first before anything occurred like a letter to the rider etc.

That's a invaluable resource to have not at races.

He did have a good connection inside the UCI and from what I understand, still did when he was at Sky.

Seems that Leinders wasn't that well connected nor did they go to him first.

From velonation:
Contacted by Volkskrant, Maassen confirms Rasmussen’s account that the UCI had contacted him first. “They [the UCI] were looking for Leinders, but did not have his number,” said Maassen.

This would not surprise me in the slightest and that Sky had a strong connection to UCI was obvious with McQuaid's talk half way through Wigans TdF about the Sky end of race party.

We still dont know why Sky made a presentation to ASO in 2012.

2014 Grand Depart in England if a Team SKY rider wins the Tour in 2012.

So Sky can influence where a TdF stages it Grand Depárt? If they can influence that, what else can they influence?

Leinders just keeps coming back. He's everywhere and nowhere.

He does. And the more we learn about him the more he starts to sound like Dr Ferrari.

No wonder the skyfans are desperately trying to forget about him.

Well they can certainly influence their best riders to target
ASO events, and if that makes ASO happy all the better for
everybody. Part of their mutually beneficial agreement had
Skydog travel to Japan recently. At the heart of professional
cycling is marketing opportunities for sponsors, that is why
professional cycling exists. If two brands can co-operate to
result in greater exposure for both, then they should do so.

2 brands co-operating is not a level field. I am not surprised by ASO as they never had a problem with doping.

I'm pretty sure Sky have been making annual presentations, starting in 2009 (so before they got a license) .

wow read this

“We felt it’s our job to be transparent and tell people what we’re doing, and the more we can tell people the less mystery there is. We’re not doing it to try and convince them we’re clean, we are clean...."

Boy they sure dont do that anymore, considering the mystery of how they get riders from the grupetto to the top step.
