cheap shots....

You deny Sky lied?

Waiting for the UCI to find a positive of Sky was like waiting for Hein/Pat to find Armstrong positive. Please Mark hold your breath............. :D

suffice it to recall Pat's 2012 slip of the tongue, not even half way through the TdF.

Once upon a time there was a decent discussion in the clinic about how much circumstantial evidence was required before someone truly believes enough to be certain of doping and I think that threshold is something that varies from person to person. For me, there seems to be way too much smoke emanating from SKY for there not be a fire. But that is easy for me to say as an anonymous poster on a forum with no stake (not steak!) in the game. If I had to wager my life savings on that fact, I would not do so, because there is a infinitesimal shred of doubt. Of course that would hold true for any of the other contenders as well.

cheap shot......................lobbing one over the bows of members here quoting cliched comparisons

to US postal fans rather than addressing issues with team sky

Mark L

And you don't see that the comparisons are completely valid as the LA fans were adamant of the truth behind the impossible fairy stories they were being sold and the same indignant belief in a blatantly protected, dishonest and doping sky team.

Who have used Cadence, Preperation, Science, previous illness, team discipline, specific race prep for the TdF and superior mental and health conscious behaviours, to infer that there are genuine reasons they can beat proven dopers as clean athletes.

Because none of those excuses were used by LA et al were they?

The comparisons are used because we have history repeating itself 10 years after the LA and just with a whole new set of corrupt a-holes in charge.

I don't know if it is fair to say that SKY are 'blatantly protected' from positives. That is one big difference between now and the USPS years. By LA's return in 2009, most of his GC contemporaries (whom he was beating by minutes) were serving bans of some kind. It doesn't look like the UCI is currently capable or motivated to ban any real GC riders of note. I can't speak for everybody, but most people could do the math on Lance by 2006. The people who were buying the 'fairy tales' were not people who understood the sport, but I think people tend to over-generalize the behavior of fans due to the actions of a vocal minority.

How about Brian Cookson sending Oil Cookson to Colombia with Henao to 'monitor' altitude blood values?

Which if i remember rightly was because no-one; according to Mr D Brailsford understood Henao's genetics or his blood values being distinctly different

When a two minute look on any research site to do with physiology produces the results that the Colombians and Peruvians are the most studied people on the planet due to living at such extreme altitudes in the Andes mountains.

Yet another classic misdirection and blatant lie by the Sky machine

Well we don't know yet - but I am afraid it doesn't look good when you see the likes of Sky and Brailsford and the Murdochs cosying up to Cookson and the UCI, Then you get the TUE emergency; backdated application and acceptance.

Yet again seems like history is repeating itself

All we need now is for the SKY Machine to weigh in on the ASO battle and sice with the UCI and for Murdoch to use his significant influence in the media world to get ASO to realise they are too important and have too much money and clout to argue with.

Then the whole cycling mafia theory will be complete.

BTW did Sky ever publish that report? :D

The University said that it was imminent a couple of weeks ago. Basically held up in the scientific review.

Excellent! Thanks for the info. :)

As a published scientist myself, I understand these things take time.

Its a good thing, as it means the reviewers actually read it and made some points that needed to be addressed.

Either that or Colombian clearance houses take longer to release cheque funds...

;)

Being a Sky fan would be a heck of a lot more "palatable" did they not turn every one of their victories into some sort of indisputable proof of Brailsford intellectual and analytical superiority and a victory for technology as a whole. All of it expressed in a condescending tone that leaves many wishing any Sky test positive soon.
