It sold out in 2015, making it a must-ride event for those lucky enough to get a place.
The Long Route 117 miles / 185km (approx. 1161m of climbing) £49
The Medium Route 92 miles / 146km (approx. 933m of climbing) £47
The Short Route 42 miles / 74km (approx. 508m of climbing) £41*

If this was Astana or Tinkoff it'd be a non story but the clinic lives for a good Sky bashing.
This is an excellent read. The Hegelian said:deviant said:So Sky used TUE certs.....wow, that's quite a smoking gun, I mean it's practicality blood bags, EPO vials and bags of steroids (sarcasm mode off).....seriously guys, there is a world of difference from a medical exemption for inhalers and cortisone and the big nasties like Growth Hormone, testosterone, insulin, GW501516 and Aicar etc.

Read this and please explain more precisely this 'world of difference':

Look up the number of events ASO is producing in Britain since the implausible grand tour win by a good track rider. Everybody that matters in cycling is making money in the UK now.
Cyclingnews has reached out to Dave Brailsford for comment, too, but attempts have gone unanswered so far. Team Sky has talked about its commitment to transparency every season since it was formed and Dave Brailsford, at the Tour in 2013, laid down this challenge to the media: “Why don't you collectively have a meeting, get yourself together, get organised, and you tell me what could we do so we wouldn't have to ask these questions.”
Rollthedice said:The fire is spreading. Brailsfraud locked himself in the house, maybe he's already in the basement. Fancy Bears, chapeau.

The 2014 Grand Departe had 10 million pound budget.pastronef said:DirtyWorks said:buckle said:Can anyone explain the success of Sky post-Leinders? I do wonder wonder wherher there is more to Leunders than just doping?

Where are all those Sky defenders now? Very strangely silent about this news.
I want more of those accusations of us wearing tin foil hats and more demands for plain, common sense empirical evidence.

Maybe this will play out to give the sport one more chance to get real. It's probably naïve of me, but it did seem like the TDF in 2011 was "cleanish" compared to prior years. The poop was hitting the fan with the Armstrong revelations from Landis's book, Bertie was embroiled in the steak controversy, and the Tour looked more like a real contest, a real struggle that year. Then 2012 came along and everything looked bogus again. 2013 was even worse. I want to be able to care about the sport again.
then maybe put off your tinfoil hat and face reality. cycling is as clean as it's ever been.JosephK said:The Hegelian said:I freely admit to enjoying the sweet elixir of schadenfreude.

Unfortunately that is not the way it happens. When there is a big doping controversy and the claims of the new era in cycling, someone else just steps in to fill the dirty void. There is no such thing as the new cleaner cycling.JosephK said:The Hegelian said:I freely admit to enjoying the sweet elixir of schadenfreude.

Still yet to see evidence of wrong doing, they followed the rules set out. We have no right to the medical records of anybody. The treatment was prescribed by a doctor outside the team and the TUE's issued within the rules. It's a bit of a PR headache for Sky but the news cycle being what it is it will eventually fade into the background.
