we can spot Horrach on FFWD wheels and a bike or two with Di2 (Ignatenko and Vorganov pictures)

and there's a guy with a white helmet (not a Lazer)

And Mavic + Vision wheels.
If they switch to Canyon, it's strange to make a (obvious) bike fitting on Focus bikes ...
But pics are from early december ...

thx, interesting for the amateur detective in me. At first I thought "if they're putting up a load of pictures of Focus bikes, they must still be riding them in 2012."

Then I noticed the glimpses of other components in the outdoor photos. I'm saying Canyon now.

Specifically, You can see Selle Italia, Ritchey, Shimano, Mavic components, all found on the build ups you can buy from Canyon. If you look in the background of the picture of Eduard Vorganov, you can see a bike with a distinctive seat cluster that looks like that of the Canyon Aeroad. Three like that, in fact. Bikes are cropped out of other pictures, too.

Your thoughts?

P.S. check out Freire staring at the Pope in one of the later pictures. Didn't notice him at first. I wonder if he'll get any tips from the team sprint coach Zabel? "Don't start celebrating too early".

Difficult to say from this pic but the bike on the far left seems to have that bulky Canyon seatpost.

As an Canyon Ultimate CF SLX owner training in Katusha kit I am pretty interested in this rumored combo. It seems 2 months of investigating comes to an end.

Note also the bike under Vorganov's arm with what looks like a 'KATUSHA' decal in white. Then there's the bike on the stand with two light dots at the seatclamp...

really? statistically there are more injuries with tandem jumps than AFF. with tandem, you do nothing, you are just ballast strapped to some guy with your life in his hands. with AFF you go through a much more intensive training course so you know what's going on in every aspect of your jump. there are 2 instructors holding onto your flight suit when you exit the plane, they make sure you are ok and pull your rip cord, then you get to fly the canopy and land, instead of being a sack of potatoes hitting the ground.
my point being that Bert is a top pro athlete that has the confidence and mental ability to handle AFF, just dents my respect and admiration for his racing seeing him take the wussie way.

at many Drop Zones you must tandem for your first jump before starting an AFF program.

Something amusing from the Sky camp:

For his part, Eisel said that he'd enjoyed the training, though he admitted he was taken aback at the lengths to which his new team had gone, painting a finish line on the road, and having 2km and 1km-to-go banners, on the designated circuit.

"When we saw the circuit," said Eisel, "Kanstantsin Siutsou said to me: 'This is bigger than our national championships!' We don't even have a finish line!'"

During Garmins training camp Alex Rasmussen twice beat Farrar in a sprint. According to Alex Farrar was really impressed with him. He will probably be last end 2nd last in the train:

Important to remember that training sprints are completely different to sprints in competition. For example, Alexander Kristoff is probably one of the fastest riders in the world when it comes to "sprinting for the sign" etc (much faster than EBH for instance) whilst after a hard day in the peloton he's not nearly good enough. That being said, Rasmussen certainly has a big talent and I hope he soon lives up to his potential, but I'm not sure if he's best served becoming a pure sprinter.
