Tbf, I don't this is out of the world for Kuss, Benoot, Kelderman or Van Baarle. Kuss is doing his normal work really, Benoot used to be a GC guy (at Sunweb/DSM/Lotto Soudal) so him being able to climb as a domestique isn't unexpected tbf, Kelderman is probably underperforming and Van Baarle used to pull out very similar performances at Ineos in the last few years. Laporte and Van Hooydonck are climbing better than usual, and well Wout and Vingegaard deserve some questions on this and other performances anywayBut then again Wout who has been throwing energy all over the place, outperformed the climbers in this TT with 10kg extra.
Oh wait, minus the 500gr bowel thing.
My first suspicion was when Van Hooydonck was climbing way over his level in his first Jumbo year, he was known as a good time trialist but couldn’t handle a small bridge. Then Laporte went on Wout’s level in the classics and is now (as being a half sprinter for Cofidis) climbing over 1 category climbs with ease.
Van Baarle with a big engine also climbing impressive. Benoot was with the top 7-8 last mountain stage. Kuss being Kuss but consistent. And Wout outperforming climbers yesterday again.
And then yesterday happened.
Armstrong didnt get caught once, right? But that could also be because of corruption. Is blood doping still a thing? Is it detectable?
Like when you take blood out all year and then inject the good stuff back in during a stage race?
I haven't heard anything about it lately, its all microdosing and motors.
They are good riders in their own right... and with a little bit of enhancement, probably just makes them even better.Tbf, I don't this is out of the world for Kuss, Benoot, Kelderman or Van Baarle. Almost no-one has been caught for blood doping. Just look at Fuentes' clients in 2006, most of them had never been tested positive.Armstrong didnt get caught once, right? But that could also be because of corruption.
Landis apparently got caught, because of a "dirty" bag. Whatever that means. Sounds like a sloppy mistake. Or he was just too blatant and they put and end to that quick. He didnt have the same power.
How many more riders from the 90s and 00s have come out and confessed long after their career? They never got caught either most of them.
With money, organization and just being smart about it... it is probably very hard to catch it. Unless someone talks or tell you how they are working.
And that should be pretty telling, right?Almost no-one has been caught for blood doping. Just look at Fuentes' clients in 2006, most of them had never been tested positive.
Also Landis was tested positive for Testosterone, not for blood doping.
Microdosing for the best TT of all time, i don't think so. The motors should be caught by the bike testing or dismantling. Is blood doping still a thing? Is it detectable?

Van Aert is not only Van Aerting during the season but also finding energy to generate tiny human beings

"Right now, Jumbo-Visma is the best team in the world in everything," he said. "They do everything so structured and prepare everything so well, especially on such a time trial day – Vingegaard and Van Aert's bicycles are even made without paint in order to save 150 grams.
Vingegaard's bike must have been extra paintless on Tuesday.
Those 15kg should have really helped on that small climb. Also 15kg heavier Van Aert held pace with most of the GC men on the climb. Also, the first 15km are perhaps comparable to the 2nd Tour de Suisse ITT, where Van Aert got beaten by Skjelmose and Ayuso. He still managed to put 1.11 into Van Aert in the first 16k of mostly flat/downhill with a small climb, despite riding on the same paintless setup, with WVA being a former CX world champion ergo expert descender who has 9 high level tt wins and is about 15kg heavier.
Jonas' tt bike was not only unpainted, but they also didn't use resin on the carbon fibre to save weight. Just a few pieces of tape held it all together"Right now, Jumbo-Visma is the best team in the world in everything," he said. Something for mythbusters: is it possible to make a bike from ducktape.Jonas' tt bike was not only unpainted, but they also didn't use resin on the carbon fibre to save weight. Just a few pieces of tape held it all together
Heßmann, the perfect sacrifice to make it seem that proactive steps are being taken against Jumbo, while also showing the others are in fact ''clean''.
You are CORRECTOops.
I have a vague recollection that diuretics may be used as masking agents. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can correct / expand on that.
