I wonder if he's changed anything in his build-up for the Tour, this year. He didn't look super strong at this year's Tour of California, which he's won in the past. But maybe he's looking to build form closer to the Tour. Today's time-trial was a great ride for him. -- Beating Dumoulin (admittedly, not in top form), and also a better time than the other GC contenders.

Very solid ride today. Maybe he has a chance to finish on the podium after tomorrow's stage? Can we actually hope just a little? He put 30 seconds on Quintana today. Somehow I think that says more about Quintana than it does Tejay.

There's still hope for TJ. Uran has been in the top-10 of every GT he's finished since he joined JV's team.

The last time he got second in the Dauphine, he was 3rd place going into stage 17 of the Tour, before abandoning will illness.

But that year he actually rode well in the mountains in Dauphiné.

Good result for Tejay. He and his team will be happy with that.

This was EF's first podium overall in a major one-week race since Talansky's win in Dauphine in 2014. That's a long streak for a team that won 2 monuments and got 2nd in Tour de France in between.

The streak between monuments was just the same, though, from Martin’s Lombardia win to Bettiol’s at Flanderas

Seems noticeably more relaxed than his BMC days.

He does appear to be more relaxed and happier. Hopefully it translates into his being a good helper for Uran in the mountains where he's going to be needed (along with the TTT).

TBH I didn't even know he was riding PN this year...still Higuita must not be very pleased, assuming Tejay had any plans to help him ;-)
