Pics of Djokovic already up on the hyperbaric facility "Hypermed.au" gallery.....Along with athletes galore.
And guess who's also front and center? Bethanie Mattek-Sands! Some might remember her as an athlete suspected by some as the female tennis player with the TUE for DHEA (an anabolic steroid) that WADA had revoked after CAS appeal. (discussed already in this thread)

You couldn't make it up.

good spot arcus wrt Mattek Sands.
back then someone speculated the TUE person was Venus Williams, but I guess Mattek Sands remained as the most plausible name in your view?

btw, gotta agree with bullsfan22 (previous page) on how astonishing it is that Joke-vic hasn't had a single serious injury up to present.

and everytime i decide to watch serena williams play i'm reminded what an incredibly poor natural talent she has.
not to mention she's ridiculous to watch when she's actually made to fight.

Look at this transformation of Angelique Kerber, who today won the women's Australian Open.

She now has far greater definition in her legs and arms than in previous season's.

How has she done this?

Remember as a professional tennis player she would have always had a phenomenal work-out regime so saying "more training" just won't wash.

her thighs definitely have a bit of a Sir Chris Hoy feel to it, but nothing overly ridiculous in my view.
The transformation could be aicar.
Especially her stamina in that finale was insane.
We can be sure she had to gear up major league in order to do what she just did.

Tennis has become a joke, we just have to live with it.

Who cares, she kicked the steroid queen's butt.

The way the ages have gone up in tennis is just insane and women's game even more ridiculous than men's. A 28 year old just beat a 35 year old. The women's game used to be like swimming where if you were done once you got out of your teens.

In the women's game new players just keep rising and falling. Safina was the best player in the world for about 15 straight months and an absolute nobody before and after

Yea it's insane, i remember that it was pretty much a certainty federer was gonna retire at the olympics of 2012.

And Serena was relevant before clijsters and henin were even in the scene. And they're long gone.

Is Kerber gonna retire after winning her first slam, like Bartoli did after Wimbledon and Pennetta last year at the US Open? I doubt it, but it would be funny.

In all seriousness, she's 28, and since really breaking out in 2011, she's been relatively steady, with some up and down moments, and she was just fortunate in this tournament. She almost lost in the 1st round and then used that good fortune to probably play nothing to lose tennis. It probably relaxed, though I am sure not too many saw her beating Serena today. Doping? Probably. Though not just for this tournament, but for a while.
I am more concerned of the potential of match fixing. Serena steamrolls the 6 matches prior and then starts playing poorly and it's like a totally different player. Nerves probably were a factor, but not that much. Women's matches just seem so strange these days. You just never know what you are gonna get. The quality (or lack there of) is another issue, but that's been going on for a while.

If you analyze the CAS adjudication document (and the way her name is redacted therein), you can work out that the athlete in question has to have a double-barreled surname, and has to come from a country beginning with a vowel or H. Very few players names fit the redaction marks. Comes down to one super-lowly ranked UK player and BMS, IIRC. The medical practice of one of the MDs quoted in the document is very to near to BMS's home town, and the timing fits with a dramatic up-swing in her results and physique (which she attributed to eliminating avocado, pineapple and -wait-for-it- gluten from her diet).

Worth noting that there were pics of other tennis players on that dodgy clinic's website, including Raonic, Murray and Ivanovic . If they were really there, then why? The guy's license to practice was revoked because he admitted lying to, and exploiting patients, for goodness sake. Not to mention the fact that he advocates the use of WADA-prohibited substances on his website. As a famous athlete, why would you associate yourself with him?

Could it be that players worry about bringing goodies to Australia in the aftermath of Odesnik's bust by Aussie customs officials, and they need local sources?

he is an ex-ITF ex-ATP tennis umpired. Ings is aware. He knows doping, he is a aware, like Bentham's panopticon. cyclops and eyes in the back of his head. which is why he was such a great tennis umpire. Mcewenroe loved him, just loved him.

Ings wont reply to questions concerning Novak or Serena and their program...

So BMS was the redacted name, little doubt indeed, and well done working that out.

yeah, I saw raonic and the others also on the photo with Malcolm.
As you say, why would you do that? The insult to the brain is incredible.
Basically it shows how secure and untouchable these tennis players feel. They know nobody's gonna come after them.
Imagine a cyclist going there.

@blackcat, is Ings on Djokovic' bandwagon?

the pundits and ex officials are gatekeepers and will say anything to keep their income stream for being the go-to pundits on matters like doping.

they allow the emperor's clothes phenomena to continue unabated... the give the plausible deniability and figleaf to the implausible undeniability[sic][sic](grammar)

The sport is a travesty. We have Serena and Federer in their mid 30s reaching slam final after slam final after slam semifinal. If it wasn't for Djokovic on the men's side, Federer would STILL be winning slams. This is the dude I want caught the most because his continued arrogance is unreal.

Pat Cash and the BBC commentator are calling the Novak Murray match exactly as it is right now, just can't fault them. "They have just played a 36 shot rally and both players were totally unbelievable." Got to agree with them.

All credit to them. Novak breaks Andy and again they call it exactly as it is - "unbelievable".

At least they can't be accused of lying to the punters.

Is the Essendon doctor in a guest seat ?

Didn't bother watching the match. I don't particularly enjoy watching Murray play and his attitude and demeanor on court can be really juvenile. Plus Djokovic wasn't gonna lose this match. He has Murray's number right now, particularly in latter stages of slams and he wasn't gonna let this one go.

How ridiculous has tennis become? Well, I gave Kerber a better chance of beating Williams than I gave Murray to beat Djokovic. Considering how much Serena has dominated in slams, that's saying a lot. Unless Djokovic is sick, injured, or plays some of the worst tennis of his life where he beats himself (highly unlikely, given his defensive game and not hitting as many winners as the more attacking players) OR runs into a hot Wawrinka or another player that's a real shot maker, he will win all four slams this year and then make a real case for GOAT. Assuming also that Federer completely drops off in the next few months and starts losing early in tournaments and doesn't win another slam before he retires. It's been almost 4 years since Federer won his last slam. I think Wimbledon and perhaps the US Open are his best chances to add to his tally, but like I said, Djokovic is just ruthlessly manhandling everyone.

Surely djokers body has to break down at some point like Nadal's. Right?

This year with the olympics added in between wimbledon and the US, I don't think he'll win all 4.

Exactly 2 years ago Nadal, fresh off crushing Djoker in the US Open was on the verge of becoming the greatest ever, having just to beat Wawrinka to do the double GS.

He's been a shell of himself since.

Djokovic visited a clinic in Melbourne after his long match with Giles Simon apparently to use an oxygen chamber. Was he loading up on HGH in preparation for the latter stages of the AO? His doping is now becoming so obvious it is just a joke......Will he ever be caught?

The facility is run by Malcolm Hooper, a former chiropractor, who sat in Djokovic’s box in Rod Laver Arena Thursday evening as the world No. 1 beat Roger Federer and earned a spot in Sunday’s Australian Open final, the sixth of his career. Hooper’s clients include people with cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries and disabilities, as well as other athletes.

I hadn't heard about this, it's pretty shocking players feel they have the impunity to engage in this type of behavior so openly. Not surprisingly not a peep was made about this in the U.S. television coverage, just more of Patrick McEnroe gushing about the "iron man's" incredible stamina.

Djokovic needs to win more than Australian Open, he needs to start winning multiple Wimbledons, multiple FlushingMeadows, multiple Roland Garroseseseses

...but, "this type of behavior" is perfectly legal (oxygen chambers) so why wouldn't they feel like they had impunity?

I'm all for exposing the dopers but this attitude is detrimental. I also suspect Nadal received a tap on the shoulder in early 2014 because he along with a few other extremely suspect players have dropped off the face of the earth.

it seems you're right about Ings.

Any comment on Djokovic working with Malcolm Hooper?

So much for Richard Ings.
