Test your cycling knowledge.......

Very nicely done. Great idea.

I got most of them right but missed a few of the riders from the 90's and spent 2 minutes typing variations of "Andy Schleck" into "Mr no chain" until i gave up.

I never realised i was misspelling so many riders. Pettachi. Salvodeli. Vandenbrouke. Cipolini. All wrong i now know.

And i gave up on the tashkant terror even though i knew who he was.

Finaly Elphantino has a better nickname;)

Edit: Hooray 13 out of 20 based on Spanish maiden names.

61/84- i completely forgot to attempt the dauphinie and spent time trying to spell Izagirre/ Peraud/ Kwiatowski and Chaves- cost me 7 points.

Good tests, thanks!

71 for the cq rankings- some real easy ones such as Kelderman, Mollema, Bos, Slagter and Wellens forgotten.

Maybe it's time to test our cycling knowledge again in the off season!

What do you remember of last season? ;)

Top 100 riders of the CQ Ranking 2014

It looks easy on paper, but I bet you will forget some riders.

Again, I don't think you get 100% on this quiz. Do you remember for instance who was second in Plouay?

Only 57/100. :(
Me and my stupid american vocabulary. There was probably another 20 that I knew but just couldn't spell. I'm so use to either doing a quick look up or just using their names abbreviated....

yes, if I could spell or spell faster it would help a lot. however, as many ways as I tried to spell basque names i still get them wrong - intxausti and izaguirre...even some german surnames give me a problem, nevermind getting navardauskas right in a hurry or belgian/dutch names. eastern european names for some reason are not as hard and italian/regular spanish names are easiest next to english. i speak some french - that helped.

anyway, that was fun. 72/100 was better than I thought i'd do.

figured the podium quiz might be easier after the top 100 - will see.

that really was fun. glad to have that site sporcle - thanks :)
it helped me to take the top 100 rankings quiz first and refresh my spelling...
then on the podium quiz: 74/84.

lots more fun than some other threads this time of year ;)

That post was from 2011.

The easy team-rider quiz is from 2011, look at which riders are listed together as being on what teams.

yeah. i tried that easy one and got 12/30

this is a nice peaceful thread to escape to ....also the cafe - music thread :)

275 out of 300 stage wins- very bad with some of the smaller riders and didn't know 2010 that well but I had only 6 that i didn't know so i was quite lucky. I got all of 2014 correct :)
Not enough time to spend on the 2012/13 Giro though:(

116/150 for the CQ from 1999- 2013- stupidly forgot that Porte had a great 2013. Didn't consider Rebellin at all. Also i forgot about Greipel. Also i'd spelt Ullrich wrong so should get an extra 3.
