I'll be one of them, if I've also calculated correctly. I think I will be close to 1500 points this week. ;)

Damn, I am not sure how many I will score, but at least I got 470 (plus possible 5 pointers) from Gent - Wevelgem. Should probably get 1000+ so I'm dreaming of crawling myself back into the top 100 overall;)

Annoyed about the state of things in catalunya because Kruisiwijik's 40 points could have been 150 or so.
Gesink is looking good and got some points for me at catalunya
Main points though come from Boonen, Breschel, Rogers followed by guys like Pozzato and keukaleire so things are looking up for me before Flanders.

I expect a massive score for me at Flanders looking at guys like Pippo, boonen, Devolder, Hoste etc all who seem to be going reasonably well..

Tour of Flanders(provisional, I guess):
AAEN JORGENSEN Jonas
BOONEN Tom
KRISTOFF Alexander
BRESCHEL Matti

I want Matti to win and then Tom second. And Jonas to grab another 5 points. I've given up Kristoff. I AM DISAPPOINT.

Pais Vasco (same here):
KING Benjamin
PUCCIO Salvatore
HERRADA LOPEZ Jesús
FARIA DA COSTA Rui Alberto
RUYGH Rob (hopefully he can do something so that he gets his first points)
BRAJKOVIC Janez
KISERLOVSKI Robert
ULISSI Diego
HERNANDEZ BLAZQUEZ Jesus
DE LA FUENTE RASILLA David

Pretty happy with these line-ups, I hope it stays like this.

Another top 10 for Kiserlovski I hope, and Brajkovic, Jesus, Costa and Ruijgh in the top 10 too, De La Fuente for a stage win out of a break, and I hope either Puccio or Ulissi (or both :p) can grab a stage.

Tour of Flanders:
Matteo Trentin
Matti Breschel
Martijn Maaskant
Sep Vanmarcke
Stijn Devolder

Pais Vasco:
Sergio Henao
Wout Poels
Stefan Denifl
Janez Brajkovic
Robert Kiserlovski
Fredrik Kessiakoff
Arnold Jeannesson
Thibault Pinot
Jelle Vanendert

If only I hadn't missed the obvious picks Boonen for the classics, and Velits for the GC, I'd be pretty content with my team, but alas, I'll just start comparing myself to the other people without Boonen for now on.

Ronde van Vlaanderen: Alessandro Ballan, Marcus Burghardt, Tom Boonen, Gert Steegmans, Matteo Trentin, Juan Antonio Flecha, Maxim Iglinskiy, Steve Chainel, Matti Breschel, Yaroslav Popovych, Stijn Devolder, Kris Boeckmans, Gustav Erik Larsson, Leif Hoste, Filippo Pozzato

Now scoring a lot of points but later in the season it won't be that good anymore, with all my classic riders :)

Think about it, Valverde will at the best equal his cost that means that going on that he would end up on 7500 if all his riders met their costs not great if you wanna challenge.
His other riders will have to double their scores with barely any exception for him to challenge....

Yeah, well if you look at my team you'll see that's definitely not my style of choosing, as I have one of the least risky (big-points-wise) teams. However, even if Valverde gets, say, 2500 points to equal last year, you can then fill your team with super cheap picks that will cost less than 100 points that will possibly get you more than 500 points. Again, big risk because you have to pick all the right talents, but it can work. And, perhaps because of my own cautious approach, I really admire someone who takes a big risk.

Well I guess it was all in a weeks work. The results from Gent-Wevelgem, the overall from Criterium International, overall at Catalunya, and all that type of stuff. Those results were put in today so that's why I put today.

Whoa, just did the calculation for the week and it's 1048. My best week by far, but I'm worried that I'm gonna move down, crazy. Still, pretty good considering my grand total of 15 points from the GC of Catalunya.

I've got exactly the same feeling :p

But otoh, maybe because I'm around the bottom I have a bigger chance of moving up.

At least I've got some riders that score a lot of points. That makes me feel proud and happy because that means I have at least some cycling knowledge.

Like everyone else, (around the 1100-1200 point mark) because so many folks have these riders.
Heavy, heavy scoring this year.
One week in March left and already close to the 5000 mark.

Yeah, I think it's a combo of people understanding the game better, but also more obvious bargains. Last year there was, what, Haussler? Gerrans? Haussler didn't even do that well. This year, there are obvious expensive bargains like Boonen and Kreuziger, a mid-range one in Pozzato (maybe you can include Velits since he was so popular), and cheaper ones in the form of Rogers and Breschel. And so far, it looks like all are delivering.
