The GREEN TEAM ... this time I couldnt just select the top 33 "green" riders as the cost would be over the limit so I added a condition that every green rider must have at least 15% points gain over last year.

Yeah, agree. I don't quite get it either

Maybe when you do your post with the update in it, you can provide a direct link to the excel sheet like last year, so people don't have to open up a new tab, type in web address, delete that because you've typed in the address for cqranking instead, figure out if it was .com or .net, then once you're in then navigate site to downloads section, then you find the update.

The big reasons why this game hit off so well at the start was because:
1) there's sweet-****-all to do in December, this gave people something 'cycling' to do, discuss and debate.
2) It's simple. Pick up to 33 riders with 7500 budget, can't confuse that.
3) Didn't have to do anything other then send HK your picks at the start of the year. No 2nd party website. No other log in needed other than CN one

So whilst looking towards making this game "better" and providing more options for people, maybe it's best to try and remember those points. I'm sure whoever CQmanager is, has done a great job and I'm certainly grateful for the effort put in, I enjoyed the mini-game for the Giro and even if all this help was unlooked for (well I'm sure HK likes the help! :D) I don't think people are ungrateful, they just want the game to remain the simple, fun game we've all enjoyed for the last 2 years.

I have 8 riders from the green list, Boonen, Porte, Inglinsky, Breschel, Moser, Demare, Pozzato and Kreuziger.

I only really considered 7 of those other riders:
Dyachenko, Hesjedal, Rogers, Zabriskie, Henao, Turgot and "Turbo Durbo".

They did not look like each of them would go on to go so well. I think i broached the idea of getting Dyachenko on here, then was told he was bad ( and he is not ). Rogers i though would have had less opportunities but class shines through. Zabriskie is a great rider and considering it was an lympic year i should have picked him. Henao i had picked in my team but i had misjudged some calculations of my team ( i couldn't still find the correct values ) and i subbed him out. Durbridge i expected to do the Olympics. Turgot went better than even i would have envisaged and he still has quite a few races left.

And that just leaves the GT winner that no one thought would win a GT.

I sort of considered JTL and Ballan too, but not as much.

Whoa, pretty exciting that I come back after a couple of weeks away (didn't want to spoil the giro, which I was downloading when I had regular internet in town on the weekends, although being in British Columbia I managed to be spoiled that Hesjedal won anyway... I guess that's a sign of good things for cycling in Canada, if I can't avoid hearing about the Giro with limited media exposure in a bush camp) to find myself in 3rd! Highest place yet. And between the Dauphine and Suisse I've got like 25 of my riders going, hopefully things will keep rolling smoothly...
