I'm curious to how many exceed 1000.

My most expensive is like 700.

I have a certain Sicilian in that bracket, but I'm tempted to replace him. Clearly not many that can give a high profit per point at that price.

Probably been answered in thread.

It's all stated in the opening post of this thread, but here you go:

33 riders max.
7500 points.
PM me your team.
Deadline is January 4.

Just spent an hour trying to optimise my team mathematically. The technique wasn't all that sophisticated, but I still managed to confuse myself.

Poels is a tough call though. Last year he made a great breakthrough which started in Tirreno were Gilbert beat him with 1cm at an hilltop finish and he continued to impress in the mountains/hills. Allthough he wasn't very consistant.
Normally he will be doing better this year, but somehow I'm not 100% sure about it. He could very well have an anonymous year. Let's hope not!

If I remember correctly that was a flat finish(or slightly uphill à la the Worlds this year), but with a lot of hills in the final. Could have won that stage as well if he wasn't so inexperienced in group sprints.

Lots of people with 33 riders and 7500 points exactly, it would be so awkward if the two winning teams were equal. :p

Regarding Poels I'm sure it was quite a hilly finish, somewhat steeper than the worlds final..

We will have Susan decide, the person with the highest average infraction posts / day on the forum loses. :p

Nah he's not playing so we can get El Pistol to deliver a divine ruling on the winner in case of tie.

Create a panel of 3 top posters not playing.

Ryo Hazuki Dekker Tifosi and El Pistolero.

Bringing such 3 extremes together might cause problems for the balance of the earth.

Well if you continue both of us continue at our rates of posting then it is going to take you nearly 10 years to catch up!

I don't think 2 out of the 3 panelists would look favourably on me. el pickle will stick up for me im sure!:p

It's only Tour Down Under you can find there, right?

Agree! Why aren't they!? I would love to see Ryo's South American dreamteam dominate :D

I think it's because they're such big talkers that they know if they enter the competition and fail they'll never hear the end of it. Take El Pistolero for example, he's been commenting and advising on riders while we've been discussing riders for 2012, so he's obviously interestedand intrigued! He's too afraid or unwilling to back up his opinions by proving it in the game.

I think its a shame, I respect each of them so I'd love to see what kind of teams they'd put together!

The real reason is that I'm too lazy to select a decent team. Plus got exams soon, so the only thing I'm going to be studying is that :p
