There was nothing much to see, it was probably better than my team but thats not saying a lot.

I've just discovered one of my riders doesn't ride for Lampre anymore.. Ouch.

Not really Hitch, none of his picks were that "unique", there were a couple I hadn't thought about but most I were aware of and none that have gone onto/changed my shortlist.

It was basically just big names like Boonen etc who are expected to go better this year, and the top first year pros like Wilco.

not rly, they only have one guy who joined Astana from Lampre. And is he a good pick? Time will tell.

i know, i'm just saying, that chances of this rider look more interesting for me than in the case of that one who joined Katusha

Two if you count Kash (did we actually see him at the Vuelta?). Gavazzi has potential for 1000+ one day, but you get the feeling that he's an underachiever. Also Astana don't exactly have a great record with sprinters, but maybe this will change.

I didn't realise Silin was at Astana until I looked up who the Lampre guy was! They must've been quiet about their transfers this winter

Only if you looked hard: he finished 89th overall, and other than the TTT, his highest finish was 28th on the final day.

You might have seen him at Lombardy as well, but not if you were watching at the finish line.
