Well I just decided to go for all three. I probably wouldn't have if they weren't all on different teams.

I also have all 3 of them, all 3 are still young and have great potential. Felline and Ratto will enter their 3rd pro year which is often the breakthrough year for Italians.

Im number 8th in least unique teams :( but still got 1 rider who no one else has so gogo Colli!!!

Alberto Contador Velasco. I'm wondering who picked him. (It wasn't me!) It's either a huge fanboy/girl, or someone who has incredible faith in him and Teh People of CAS.

Look at my postcount! I did it again! Mwuahahaha!

It is Michiel who picked Contador, balls of steel.

My 2 risks are (both influenced by chief advisor - El P) Jelle Vandevert and Tommy De Gendt.

Both had outstanding season so im paying top dollar. Both werent going to get picked by many.

I went for De Gendt because I think of how Gilbert developed and I dont think last year was his cieling. He broke his arm in the Tour and came 6th on LALPE. He then came 4th in the Tour tt the next day.

Thats talent. Talent i hope stays and gets to be shown off in races worth lots of points.

Your chief adviser El Pistolero should have sent in a team then. I see Libertine Seguros chickened out as well. :p

De Gendt will mainly target stage wins in stage races. He will not ride the Giro or the Vuelta for GC and doesn't seem overly ambitious despite his talent. He said he would be okay with a couple (stage) wins in WT races.

I don't think it's a risky pick, though. He'll probably improve on his 2011 score.

De Gendt recently said to Sporza that he wants to ride the Vuelta for GC this year and explore how far he can get as GC contender this year.

shame on you, it appears you have some mysterious competitor in in the race for 'the biggest Alberto's fan on the 'landscapes' of CN forum' :p

Maybe this time it will? :)

i'd like, really, but the practice says otherwise (i hope for top-20)

And the winner is.....

Kvinto!

I suspect there will be a very high inverse correlation between finishing position and originality of selection: good news for Kvinto, bad for Weeley Wheeler.

The key will be the success or otherwise of the relatively expensive popular riders: Boonen, Anton, LLS and Kreuziger, and what permutation of these four are on what lists.

Seems like it's not really that different than last year. Both last year and this year there are only 7 riders that are picked in more than half the teams.

Which is funny, given all the hoo-har about released teams last year and people here trying to keep quiet their "unique" picks :D

You don't think the naming of picks on this thread has influenced teams?

Na, it's just Michiel, I don't fear him. ;)

Actually, I think I'm not so much of a big fan anymore; I've lost all faith in a good outcome of his case.. I'm sad. I think I just might cry.

Top 20, that's pretty high! :p My aim is top 100, anything higher is worth to be drinked on.

Lol if I were you I'd hope to reach first place. :p

i'm realistic, i'd been among the most impudent namedroppers, so my 'common' statistics isn't that surprising...
