 All those efforts and concerns... Not for me, I'll see where I end up.

Well that's the beauty of this game. I'm sure I could rifle off a team in 25 minutes and probably do fairly well, possibly even better than my methodical approach is going to get me, as lots of it is luck. But I love doing it, thinking and rethinking - it's really made me pay more attention to cycling and appreciate talent better. It's a simple game with many possibilities so that lots of folks can enjoy whatever sides of it, from picking a team to bragging when your rider wins to trolling startlists to see who's gonna be riding coming up. Good luck!

Don't get me wrong, I did put a lot of time and thought in it, but now that I've sent in my team I'm not going to think about changes anymore. I know too little about every rider and their potential and improvement to really come up with a perfect team, and I've included a lot of personal favourites, so I'll just cross my fingers and see hoe it goes.

I'm assuming Hugo is going to be on here at 23.59 (CET) to close the game and post the teams? :p

****, people been using excel to find riders.

Id love to have Heado, had him this year, but dont have 400 points spare.

Didn't do much except copypasta from Hugo's sheet. Not sure which picks I gained from doing so. Conditional formatting now there's a useful feature...

We're up to 116 by Hugo's last list

I used excel, but not to crunch the whole of CQ, I wouldn't know how. I just used it to edit draft teams, like I'd guess many/most did. I want props for using Matlab though. Admittedly, not in a very sophisticated way.

There's been a long history of you beating me in fantasy games hasn't there?

Oh wait... :p

TEAM HITCH TM

RiderType

Team Hitch is looking at the mountains and the general classiments.

Almost half the team - 14 riders are PURE CLIMBERS. The scale is tipped heavier when the 4 all rounders with both good tt and climbing skills are added, as well as the 4 hilly specialists.

Nationality

Thanks largely to the the work of Team HitchTM Campaign Head of Staff - El Pistolero, there are 7 cobbled riders 4 of which also sprint. A very low 3 sprinters and 2 pure tters make up the Liquigas of cq.

Diversity nationality wise isnt too great either. . No less than 6 italians (going for those big points in the Italian classics that got Rebbelin 700 in about a month).

Theres 5 Spaniards, thanks to Team HitchTM Chairman - The Hitch. The Campaign Head of Staff- El Pistolero's presence is seen with 5 Belgians. 4 Ausies for their tt skills 3 Colombians 2 French and some other nations in there.

Age

With 13 riders between 20 and 25 years old, team Hitch aknowledges that while young riders can surprise, that you need more than youth to win titles.

8 riders are between 25 and 30 and 12 are above 30. The advise of Team HitchTM Chief Advisor - Havetts, was key to tipping the balance to older, proven riders.
