Slagter :D
Kelderman going strong too,
Elissonde moved up as well, to 12th

Everybody has Thomas anyway, so it doesn't really matter for anyone whether he scores a lot of points or not.

But hey, two stage wins, and 1st, 5th, 9th and 12th on GC, while last year I was out of the top 100 after TDU and struggled to get back into there the entire year. At least my start is better this year.

For me, I picked Slagter when it became clear he would focus on the hills this year. They finally understand Slagter is not just an okay climber, but has great potential for puncheur. I figured he was going to do well in TDU, with these punchy finishes, but that he'd win, and beat (probably bad form) Gilbert in an uphill sprint was beyond my expectation.

Hope he keeps up the good work! :)

Of all the dutch riders i have on my team i don't have Slagter
I do have Kelderman though, but that's just small points

You picked a lot of young Dutch riders, but do you really expect anything from Bol, Maaskant or Poels? Bol didn't give me the impression he'll ever live up to his expectations, and the other two are still recovering from injuries.

Maaskant had a pretty good late season last year, not really in the picture but you could see he's on the way back. Poels (reportedly) is riding quite well again, but even then he'll struggle to improve on last year's CQ score.

I made a choice between Kelderman and Slagter, and fortunately (so far) I chose the latter. I figured he was hardly used in races that suited him before.

I had Slagter in 2011, so I am happy with the potential he showed this week (and which I suspected he had) but I picked him a couple years too soon unfortunately. Pretty mediocre TDU/San Luis this year, but with Gilbert's crash there was little to expect. I am however more hopeful for the coming races where my high number of French riders should help me score numerous points.

Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise
PINOT Thibaut
TAARAMAE Rein
BOECKMANS Kris
VAN DER SANDE Tosh

Etoile de Bessèges
VAN DER SANDE Tosh
COQUARD Bryan
ROLLAND Pierre
BOECKMANS Kris

These are okay I guess, not sure if I can continue like I did in TDU though :p

So glad I switched to Slagter in one of those last minute moves. TG and Rojas still quite good on GC. Not as bad a TDU as I first feared.

Starting La Marseillaise with
Bardet
Chainel
Sicard
Van Der Sande

Not sure what to expect...

I have 5 in the top 35 and saved by the fact it is WT and all finishers get 5 points. Disappointing that Thomas moved down but seeing the Sky car and the Directors glum faces descending Wilunga was great.

Well at least he moved up another couple of notches today so there is a 36 point bonus. Although with most people having G it doesn't matter much.
My team is very Aussie loaded but did me fat lot of good. A few points coming in from Goss.
Thinking I made a horrible mistake with Kittel, but that will all be redeemed when he wins MSR this year.

Edit: Can somebody help a rookie out, are there any points for KOM? As I understand it since Bobridge finished 2nd in the KOM he gets the same points as for a stage 2nd place, in this case 22 points. If I've understood this maybe he didn't have a shocking TDU after all. Plus another 35 to GT for the sprint jersey

Points till now:
Thomas: 262 (profit!)
Gilbert: 21
Rojas: 35
Morton: 5
Boaro: 5
Stannard: 5
Farrar: 9
Bobridge: 27 (profit!)
Matthews: 85

369 points this week, unfortunately none from San Luis  Maybe some from GP Marseillaise if I'm lucky
