Qatar gc only got me 58 points. I expected this to go wrong, but I was hoping for Tour de Med and the hilly Mallorca stages to up for that a bit. However, Mallorca got me only 7 points for Landa, and with Taaramae out, Tour Med isn't looking that great either.

Only thing that can save me now is an epic attack by Mollema where he wins on Mont Faron and and the GC of Tour Med. Also, the only ones who can follow him are Rolland and Pinot who end up in the top 10 because the race was so hard and everything except Rolland, Pinot and Mollema got crushed /wishful thinking

Well i failed at Qatar.

Appollonio, Kreder and Guardini did not get any GC points and Haller and Thomas did not get enough- 63 they had to work for Kristoff/ Eisel (who looks as if he might have been a good pick).

Cav will have a good season this year no doubt, but will he repeat 2009? Unlikely. I'd say max 1400, maybe 1500 if he's especially good. Plus at 1150 he was still pretty expensive.

Was expecting zero points out of Qatar so the almost 50 from G came as a nice surprise. Add that to my Mallorca week and I think I'm looking pretty good for the week.

I think Cav could get quite a lot of wins though at small races, along with the ones at GT's. The fact he has a strong team also means he could continue to win the overall at those races. I also think he is harbouring thoughts of going well at the classics again.

2 thousand pointers in there, kind of risky but could pay off for sure.

My sprint squad of Cav, Howard, Farrar did OK so i've had a reasonable week despite my oversight of the French riders.

Its a stretch to try and squeeze in 2, thousand pointers though let alone 3. Cav was 3rd on my.list but Gilbert and canc were cheaper.

Agree Fabian aint looking too great yet (he scored decent points at Oman last year too, that I cant see him getting this time round).

Gilbert hasn't done anything yet to demonstrate he'll be a must have pick lots of us thought he'd be.
