Instead to use the inbox of the forum we can create a dedicated email account where all the teams can be send and, sharing the the password between 3 or 4 of us, it would be much easier to do the work even in parallel, instead to load all the work on just one of us.

If we just split it between us (looks like you, me and Armchair so far are up for it, so one or two more should be plenty) by member ID so one of us takes IDs starting with 0-9 + A-F, the next G-N etc and get the posters to inbox each of us accordingly, we can split the workload relatively evenly and eliviate pressure on the inboxes.

Hugo - can we get away with recycling this year's spreadsheet, ie if a player from this year plays again, we just put their team instead of this year's one so all the links still work?

Yes that should be no problem. Only issue is that the tabs now named 2012 results and 2013 results should be named 2013 and 2014 instead...

I can definitely throw in some help next year, whether it's putting some teams into excel on the opening days, or doing updates for a month, or both. The rotating update idea is a cool one, for sure. I'm a big fan of this game, whether I'm doing well or miring in 50th place as I am right now, so I'd love to help.

Also a big thanks to Hugo from a fellow countryman. It is great to follow ones team during the year (even though this year my team didn't do as well as the last two editions).

Hopefully, as it sounds like, some dedicated posters will carry on the game.

Update #37: The Ulissians celebrate!

This really was the week of Ulissi and his believers. All of our top 5 weekly top scorers made the list because of Ulissi who scores 220 points this week! Skibby the bush kangaroo takes the honor with points from Farrar, Hushovd, Appollonio and Matthews as well. Also a shoutout to Zam_Olyas and his Italian army who finally gets something going.

This week's top scorers:

1. Skibby the bush kangaroo - 392
2. the asian - 376
3. Zam_Olyas - 373
4. Mellow Velo - 362
5. NairoQ - 353

18-Valve. (pithy) just missed out on the top scorer's list but he revenges himself as he just edges Ambiturner for the title as this week's high jumper while the Ulissians misses out on the honor.

This week's high jumpers:

1. 18-Valve. (pithy) +10
2. Ambiturner +9
3. the asian +8
4. Mellow Velo +8
5. NairoQ +8

In the top 10 we once again have some small changes. will10 overtakes SteelyDan's 2nd place while Skibby the bush kangaroo jumps into the top 10, pushing out tomazo.

Top 10:

1. (-) Geraint Too Fast - 13022
2. (+1) will10 - 12934
3. (-1) SteelyDan - 12905
4. (-) adamski101 - 12714
5. (-) chinaboy - 12045
6. (-) vladimir - 11903
7. (-) freddybobs - 11866
8. (+2) The Amateur - 11800
9. (+5) Skibby the bush kangaroo - 11776
10. (-1) TeoSheva - 11704

BTW what is our last race of the season for the game?

That would be Tour of Taihu Lake. Which incidentally I think is a mistake. It runs from November 2nd till November 10th. Tour of Hainan is the last "big" race before that, and it runs untill October 28th so unfortunately there's long period in which very little will happen before our winner can be crowned.

Next year I propose that the game ends when the last .HC race is done.

according to the start list on PCS there are quite a few WT and PC teams riding in Taihu Lake Tour_of_Taihu_Lake_2013-Startlist

I don't mind the additional wait--it is only a few days between October 28th and the start of Taihu Lake on November 2nd. It gives us a reason to pay attention to a race we might otherwise ignore and helps reduce the down time between seasons. I would also hate to see a situation in which the second- or third-placed team gets a lot of points in Taihu Lake to overcome the leader, but doesn't get counted as the official winner of the race.

That's some very good points :)

That's true, but my main issue is the long period of time between Hainan and Taihu which I think will often kill the suspense because most of the time, the game will already be decided here.

I can understand that, especially as the youth game seemed incredibly close for ages, and it seems just weeks before the end an almost definitive winner has emerged taking the edge off the last few races. On the otherhand I'm really glad its been close up until now, and in the first two editions of this game, we've known the winner weeks in advance.

Its great the race has been so close, and if we're lucky we will have 3 teams really close and maybe only 1 or 2 riders each racing at Taihu Lake, and as Shalgo says give us real reason to watch this result with interest.

Preparing for the 2014 season, with hope of the game going ahead and with a quite afternoon at work earned.

Noticed the "download" section on the CQ website.

That was easier than copy and pasting 20 odd pages like last year

1st draft done. Exactly 7500 !!!

Have some alternates and some more trawling to do, before I settle.

I hope my potential picks who are at the last few races have a bad day on the wheels.

I might have missed some riders, but it appears that among our leading quartet, the following riders scored today in the Japan Cup:

Geraint Too Fast: 26 (Edmondson)
will10: 0
SteelyDan: 12 (Basso)
adamski101: 42 (Dombrowski)

Incidentally, at least a couple of riders became less attractive picks for next year than they were before today.
