Hmm, 35, 227, 222, and only 115 this week. My guys better start performing soon. Hopefully Stybar opens up his classics account soon and Quintana and Izagirre bring in some points in PN and TA (whichever they are riding).

My quick back-of-the-envelope calculation gives me 311 for the week, which I'll happily take. This week, not sure what to expect with startlists for Le Samyn, Camaiore etc not finished, but I have a few hopes for West Vlaanderen, which is a 'do well in the opening TT and try to finish in the front group every day' kind of race, and I have Le Bon, (maybe if he's feeling better) Van Baarle and Craddock, the latter two of whom are unproven on cobbles as far as I know, but all of whom can do a decent TT for sure. Plus they're 3 of my more unique picks, so I cheer for them that much more.

Hofland got few points and is showing some potential. EBH also got few points but probably not enough for TOP100.

Update #8: Who needs Boonen?

As the classics season got under way it was probably expected that the 16 teams without Tom Boonen would struggle this week... but try telling that to Londonpat. Ian Stannard, Sep Vanmarcke, Taylor Phinney and Sebastian Langeveld's exploits in Belgium along with Ruben Fernandez and Sam Bennett's in Spain all contributed to a good score, but Londonpat must be equally grateful for the 5 points gained by Esteban Chaves and Heiner Parra in Malaysia and France respectively as he just edges out Mellow Velo for the weekly honours.

And whilst one Boonen-less team was flying, another was crashing. A 12th place from Heinrich Haussler in Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne gave wizard_of_oz his only points of the week, so for the second time this year our leader is also the weeks lowest scorer.

We have joint high movers this week with ingsve and King Of The Worlds both moving up 43 places, and the two are virtually inseparable in the overall table as well - 60th and 61st place respectively - with just 5 points between them.

This Week's Top Scorers

1. Londonpat 420
2. Mellow Velo 419
3. ingsve 395
4. King Of The Worlds 392
5. olafjt 374

1. King Of The Worlds (+43)
1. ingsve (+43)
3. Mellow Velo (+38)

5. trotters aotearoa (+27)

The best scoring team of the month goes to *Falze*, and Mellow Velo claims top spot in the high movers chart to complete a great update for himself.

This Month's Top Scorers

1. *Falze* 1422
2. rywann 1377
3. Pentacycle 1325
4. shalgo 1286

2. Leadbelly (+75)
3. search (+71)

5. cj2002 (+64)
5. ingsve (+64)

A no-show by the Aussies this week, coupled with a good scores from just some guy, lenissart & Ruvu75 means the overall ranking is looking a bit closer than it was last week. How much longer can the wizard hang on?

3. (-) just some guy 2036

Alright, 18th on the week, move up 16 spots to 40th... a decent place to be at this time of year, especially since I'm up on some of the traditionally good performers in this game, and on par with a couple of others. I look forward to see what the start of the WT brings (yes, yes I know TDU is the 'start', but this is the START).

159 for this week......another week like that and it is good-bye to top ten for me.
Not many classics riders in my team. At least the Australians Gerrans, Hass and Goss racing again. Will be interesting to see were their form is after the TdU.

Woohoo! :D

My first time with this game and a definite noob - hence no Boonen! Greatly enjoying it though so huge thanks to all who are running things behind the scenes.

Yeah, gotta say that I love the fact that you can be tops during a classic week (where Boonen even won a race) without the biggest pick on your team. This game takes 33 riders, and is just as complex as that.

In one of the past editions of this game, I was in the top 10 after the classics just to finish somewhere in the middle.

Okay, let's see what we can do this week...

Le Samyn

De Gendt
Van Poppel

I think DvP has a respectable chance if he can make the sprint.

Camaiore

Anacona
Dombrowski
Battaglin
Colli
Gerdemann
Teklehaimanot

Hmm, a little climby... Battaglin seems like the best shot, Colli can always get a top placing, and any of the others can do something if they're in good shape but they're not really 1-dayers.

West Vlaanderen

Van Poppel
De Gendt
Van Baarle
Craddock
Le Bon

I'm salivating a bit over the possibilities... the last 4 are capable TTers, and with a 7km prologue expected to be the decider who the heck knows.

Strade Bianche & Roma Maxima

I can't find a confirmed complete start list, but I'm guessing very similar to Camaiore, plus Moser.

Paris Nice

Coppel
Boonen
Goss
Boasson Hagen
Andy Schleck

Mmmm... I dunno, really. It's lumpy and classic-like, so EBH could go for a stage or two, and (if he's in some kinda shape) Goss too... Coppel is okay but not tops without a TT, and I don't expect anything from Andy outside of July. Maybe it's such a chill route that EBH can go for GC? Hell, I dunno, didn't Erik Zabel win T-A? And Cancellara? That's what this P-N reminds me of. We shall see.

OK Upto and including T-A as far as I can find out

Langkawi - continues

Bobridge
Unfortunately Augustyn has dropped out

Le Samyn

Andy Fenn
Marin Velits
Seb Chavanel

G.P. Camaiore

Simon Yates
Josh Edmondson
Adam Yates
Ian Boswell
Calvin Watson
Axel Domont
Dayer Quintana
Ben Swift

Strade Bianche

Rigoberto Uran
Warren Barguil
Patrick Schelling
Calvin Watson

Paris Nice

Richie Porte
Seb Chavanel
Simon Yates
Tom Boonen
Andy Schleck

Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen

Andy Fenn
Rick Zabel
Martin Velits
Jonathan McEvoy
Axel Domont

T-A

Alberto Contador
Rigo Uran
Adriano Malori
Ivan Basso
Sam Bennett
Marc Goos

Roma Maxima

Ivan Basso
Warren Barguil
Patrick Schelling
Ian Boswell
Dayer Quintana

Steve Chainel, my only unique pick, sixth today. I'm convinced he can double his CQ-score of last year (46) easily.

Tour de Langkawi (2.HC): Steven Kruijswijk, Dennis Van Winden, Johan Esteban Chaves (3)

G.P. Camaiore (1.1): Simon Gerrans, Robert Kiserlovski, Enrico Battaglin, Fredrik Kessiakoff, Winner Anacona, Sebastian Henao, Dayer Quintana (7)
Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen (2.1): Thomas De Gendt, Steve Chainel, Daniel Schorn, Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier (4)
Strade Bianche (1.1): Rigoberto Uran, Bradley Wiggins, Alexandr Kolobnev, Moreno Moser, Thomas Löfkvist, Fredrik Kessiakoff (6)
Paris - Nice (2.UWT): Edvald Boasson Hagen, Simon Gerrans, Peter Velits, Matthew Goss, Tom Boonen, Andy Schleck, Jelle Vanendert (7)
Roma Maxima (1.1): Alexandr Kolobnev, Enrico Battaglin, Fredrik Kessiakoff, Winner Anacona, Dayer Quintana (5)
Tirreno-Adriatico (2.UWT): Rigoberto Uran, Bradley Wiggins, Alexandr Kolobnev, Robert Kiserlovski, Moreno Moser, Jurgen Van den Broeck, Enrico Battaglin, Thomas Löfkvist, Fredrik Kessiakoff (9)

Let's hope I can get back my top ten position. ;)
