I'm not going to spoil the official update, but I can confirm I'm currently following up last year's 3rd place with a solid 137th

I dont need any update to know that I got close to no points last week :D

That being said, I do need Guardini and Bos to smash the Langkawi and Styby to rake some major points from the classics otherwise I will be out of the TOP 100 very soon.

Firstly, thanks to mc_mountain for standing in for me last week. I'm now ready for my first (hopefully mistake free) update.

Update #7: Another good week for rywann

With four different stage races taking place last week there were plenty of points up for grabs, and with popular riders such as Rigoberto Uran, Luis Leon Sanchez and Alberto Contador performing well, it was a good week for many teams.
Top of the pile this week is the 5th best team from last week, rywann. He collected points from Contador, Uran and Sanchez, but it was the less popular Michal Kwiatkowski who was the main contributor to his 553 points. Second placed GP Blanco also has the Contador/Uran/Sanchez combo with Betancur adding the extra flavour, and whilst 520 points wasn't quite enough for top spot, it is good enough for the consolation prize of this weeks highest mover.

This Week's Top Scorers

1. rywann 553
2. GP Blanco 520
3. Fus87 499
4. freshman 496
5. del1962 489

This Week's High Movers

1. GP Blanco (+66)
2. Fus87 (+60)
3. Milanello (+60)
4. ironted (+59)
5. Martin (+46)
5. LaFlorecita (+46)

A decent amount of points from Porte, Evans, Durbridge & Howard means that wizard_of_oz still has a very healthy overall lead.

Top 10 Overall

1. (-) wizard_of_oz 2333
2. (-) Geraint Too Fast 1920
3. (-) just some guy 1713
4. (+4) mutschi 1706
5. (-) riaroadtrip 1697
6. (-2) lenissart 1669
7. (+5) Ruvu75 1614
8. (-1) WonderLance 1548
9. (+1) Popchu 1520
10. (-4) ItalianGigolo 1517

I'm struggling with bandwidth issues at the moment, so this weeks spreadsheet is brought to you via the always helpful mc_mountain -

Still struggling at 130th :(

My worst start ever in this game.

Just having two Aussies who have failed miserably so far, doesn't help.

You are one place above me, and I just noticed we have 14 riders in common;)
Gilbert and EBH should be able to do well for us this weekend and Kruijswijk should do well on Genting. Maybe even Nuyens can pick up some rare points.
Apart from those I have also high hopes for Battaglin in Lugano and Felline in the French races. Top 100 here I come:D

Surprised to see I'm still in the top ten! Looking forward to the opening of the classic season. My French riders Offredo and Chainel are uncommon picks and I hope they will deliver me some points. :)

Anybody knows why Robert Kiserlovski hasn't started his season yet?

It is up to LuLu and Boonen to score some points this weekend. A pity Teklehaimanot is not riding in Malaysia, considering the field he could have scored more points in Malaysia than in Switzerland.

I think it very well might turn out to be a better week for you!

I like your (Giant constellation) Van Rensburg + Sinkeldam! --- I particular regret not adding Van Rensburg to my own squad! I remember the final small cobble section (in Tournai – Binche) where he right at the end followed Leukemans and bridged the gap up to Van Avermaet, before totally out-powering both of them in the end. He dindt even sprint, he just rode Van Avermaet right out of his wheel. Super prospect!

Sinkeldam with his big engine is tailored for this as well. I especially look forward to seeing him in Roubaix again. (He is even a unique pick).

Adrien Petit as well could step up this season. It will be interesting too see him on the cobbles. Its an important season for him.
