The first year, 2011, saw 87 participants and was won in dominant fashion by ingsve, who had declared boldly in his signature that he would win from the start. The second year, 2012, saw increased interest, and out of 129 participants, yours truly had the perfect combination of good choices and luck and won in similarly dominant fashion (there was no signature, but I can assure you I thought I’d win at the start of the year,

From 7th to 51th in two weeks, what a great giro my team has had
To be fair, my line-up was pretty bad to start with so I am not surprised with how things went. What costed me most was that riders like Purito and Dan Martin who should have taken points away from popular picks like Uran and Aru didn't.

Contador and Degenkolb sure have a lot of work to do now to put me back in the top 10.

Haha -13, and almost 1000p behind the leader now. The Giro update is one to forget.

However, Contador should deal with this problem very soon

Only problem being the majority of teams in the top20 have him.

With Senechal and Engoulvent going 1-2 in the prologue, I'm pretty happy that les Boucles de la Mayenne have been upgraded to 2.1. Hopefully they can hang on for a good placing in the GC. With Herklotz also having a good prologue in Luxemburg, this week could turn out pretty well.

Update #22: Minor changes

After so many changes happened the last week, we are in a relaxing week with few points distributed. The big name of the week is Breschel that, thanks to the win at the tour of Luxembourg, has allowed the only two teams that have bet on him to get the first and the second place of the week: martinaagard and tanja. Somar13, Nicosix and Team_Roubaix are completing the top 5 of the week.

In the top 10 Overall, there are no changes in the firsts seven position, but Feminal has gained one position till the eighth, while Oliveira has lost two position and now is the 10th. A new entry in the top ten: knallertjeblaf with is +4 reaches the 9th position, while Falze greets the top10.

You don't need anything, mate - you are leading. The rest of us need more badly.....

On a positive note: With Haedo finally scoring points in the US all my "active" riders have now scored points (Ballan being the "inactive"). Another mile stone achieved. We open a bottle in celebration. Next mile stone: Breaking even - 7500 points.

My team is really starting to pick up after a horrendous Giro. I went up 9 places in the last update and now even Romain Feillu is starting to win races again. Also Van den Broeck is looking solid in the Dauphiné and Contador is a single away point from breaking even. If he hangs on to the lead tomorrow, he will have over 1500 points with two GTs (+ hopefully a WC at home) yet to ride

We are at the week of the Delfinato and the weekly rank is dominated by mc_mountain that has the whole podium (Talansky, Contador and Van Den Broeck) plus the 6th (A. Yates). At the second place there is Armchair Cyclist with the same riders but Keelderman for Contador. The top 5 is completed by teams that have three of these four riders.
