Onto this week:

Sud Ardeche

Hivert
Atapuma
Stuyven
S. Yates
Zordan

Don't know much about this race but last year Hivert finished 7th and it looks like the template of 'French mini-classic with reduced sprint', which has me hoping for Hivert or Stuyven. Or Zordan, but it's his first race of the season so no expectations.

Het Volk

Stannard
Zordan (wait, what? Cyclingfever, which race is he in?)
McLay
EBH

Hmm, a little thin on the talent in the week's most important (if not singularly most high-scoring) race; Stannard and EBH are both capable of the win, but the classics are a crapshoot so we shall see.

KBK

Cav
Stannard
Enger (just realized I have been referring to him as 'Holst Enger', oops)
Gaudin
McLay

Well... Cav, obviously. Enger's a fast guy but seemed to finish behind the pack and drop out at this week's race (can't remember which one), and McLay will be working for Hutarovich, who himself could probably finish only top 10 on a good day.

La Drome

Latour
Atapuma
Stuyven
S. Yates
Hivert
Zordan (again)

If it's like last year it's more selective (won by Bardet who is hardly a sprinter) than Saturday, so Atapuma, Yates and Hivert are who I'm looking at here.

Lugano

Sagan
Chevrier
Filosi
Foliforov

Moved up to HC, hey? Ok well... very selective race, Sagan on good form could take it easily, but we shall see. I was encouraged by Foliforov this week, but realistically don't expect much from the neo-pros.

Sagan + Saxo = Sax...not that hard right?

Every time Netserk uses Sax I think he means Saxo.

"No sax for Lugano" I thought "wut the hell happened, I just read Basso would lead"

I meant a saxophonist in general not the one in the picture but... Fair enough ;)
It's not saxophonist in general, it is the specific one I posted. Epic Sax Guy.

I mean, there's a slight physical resemblance, Sagan is over the top at times, he's on Saxo... I guess it kinda works...

yes I know about epic sax guy, heck I love the whole Eurovision extravaganza :D while I agree there is a slight resemblance, I just can't understand how in the heavens someone would come up with that when thinking about Sagan:confused:

I'm with you--it seems like quite a stretch.

Hey everyone. Just want to say that I'm not much of a forum poster but I really enjoyed picking a team for this game and am glad I decided to join this year. It's pretty exciting to see your name right up there! I've got my fingers crossed that it will last for a bit longer, but it's a long season...

Trackstand, welcome to the game. I'm fairly new to it also but its fun to watch your team's progress thru the year. My team had a tendenacy to progress backwards as the year goes on. Inside the top 50 for the 1st time.

Australia will kick everyone's asses this year :D

Back to cycling that's my hope for Sagan sometime soon.

If Astana really loses their license, my season here is pretty much over, since Aru was my most expensive pick. Should've known that this could happen ...

Well, without trying to sound like a "Monday morning quarterback", as I have posted on several occasions, these were the exact reasons I did not even consider anybody from Astana and Katusha.

It was just too obvious IMO

490 points go BOOM!

Danced around Boom and Lopez Moreno quite a bit having big bad Astana in mind, but in the end deceided they might be worth the risk as I thought they wouldn't be too common (35 and 58 teams).

Could have been worse, but lets wait and see if Astana can race (will those points count?) or if they find new teams.

All points they already earned or will score regardless of team affiliation should count. After all, we are picking individual riders and not teams.

What sucks is that some of the riders may not even find a team or may not start at all races that they would with Astana.

Nice 140 points for Stannard and 42 for Styby. :)

But besides that only 6 points for Ratto and 5 for Senechal.
