I am feeling more concerned about my pick of Hodeg now. Today's race was delivered to him on a platter and he couldn't win it.
Do you know if he finished on his bike? He got a teammate's bike shortly before starting the last lap so if he was still on someone else's bike, no wonder he could not sprint properly.

Nice one today with Halvorsen 2nd and Sasha Weemaes 6th

Some of my rare picks are doing well this Week : Lonardi (4), Weemaes (3) and most of all Adam Yates (6)

Could this be enough to come back into the top 10?

Not too many points as expected, 80 for Nibali, 32 for Gaviria and 16 for Venturini, plus a few 5-pointers. Venturini is going a bit under the radar but has been pretty solid so far, he has scored 3 times as many points compared to this point last year. If he continues like this he'll end up at 500+ ;)

For tomorrow's GP de Denain I have Rudy Barbier, Loic Vliegen and Matteo Moschetti (if he is recovered from his crash). Hard to see them score many points.

225 points from my 10 riders in MSR today. Decent but not good enough to climb the rankings I suspect...
Not a single rider in Denain tomorrow, so I guess I will skip that race and hav a few beers in the spring sunshine instead

80 for Nibali, 62 for Trentin, 7 for Ewan and 5 for Bettiol, Søren Kragh (CQ says it was Asbjørn but that's false), Küng, Landa, Rowe.

At least Gaviria didn't get many points.

Tomorrow, I hope that MvdP and Boom will go 1-2.

Over 500 points this week. Lots of points on offer, so I don't anticipate being amongst the top scorers this time. However, hopeful that I'll be back up in the top 20 somewhere. Only got Guernalec and Morin at Denain, so probably a blank there. Interesting week ahead.

Alejandro Valverde - 90
Mikel Landa - 5
Jurgen Roelandts - 5
Vincenzo Nibali - 80
Larry Warbasse - 5
Albert Bettiol - 5
Tomasz Marczynski - 5
Bernhard Eisel - 5

Well they all finished and thus get points, and amazingly Eisel is now in positive points for the year. Not exactly impressive that Eisel is in possitive points though as he only had 10 points last year. That's pretty sad. At least Landa actually finished the race and actually scored some points.

According to PCS, Hodeg is 1.86 tall, whereas Peter Serry, whose bike he used, is, errrm, 1.86m.

How much of an issue could this have been?

I have a friend at the same height as me but my legs are about 10 cms longer than his. So it can be a problem (I'm not saying it was in this case).

Different gearing can create issues as well.

Happy to see Moschetti and Van der Poel aren't suffering from their crash during the week. Menten, Touze, and Barbier also showed signs of life in Denain. Hopefully, that's enough to move back up a little bit after my horror week during Paris-Nice.

Just because they are the same height, I dont think it should mean it was automatically a good fit. Their bodies are probably shaped different. One could have a long torso and shorter legs, for example. Or the other way around. That would affect the height of the saddle, how the handle bars was positioned etc.

But it probably wasnt too much of an adjustning like it would have been if someone was 1.70 and the other guy was 1.85.

Then the set up with gears and that sort of stuff relating to the bike could affect too, I guess.

Hopefully Touze will score big in a couple of races this year. At least he is showing signs of life and finishing races. Scoring at least some points. Max Kanter looking like a complete bust so far though

Picked both...
