Yeah, you made a huge mistake here. You could have had Froome as a unique pick instead. Even Mickey Mouse would have been just as valuable as AWP.

Withen is hardly a unique pick... I think he's my most un-unique pick.

Of course he's in profit, just not mathematically percentage wise.

I know he's into profit. But I want the number to get increasingly bigger...

Nobody picked Romo, luckily. He was one of my 200-300 guys that I debated putting in my team, but went with Dunbar instead. Hope I won't regret it come the end of the season. Romo really had the right profile for a potential big breakout.
I also have Dunbar. Hoping for a breakout season from him. Romo would have been handy too, after today's performance.

Dunbar should get some good points from the AlUla Tour. There's a juicy w/kg fest of a climb there, so the only way to not be high up on GC is if there are crosswind shenanigans. Pidcock looks like his main rival and otherwise the startlist is looking poor so far. If I had known Pericas would do this race, I would have been more tempted to pick him. Could be quite a lot of cheap points for him.

Narvaez likely picking up almost 400 unique points for @DJ Sprtsch! I think we know our leader for the first update.
Nice.
Can’t understand why I’m the only one with Narvaez. Second year in a row even. Last year he got some 800 points, but it could have been so much more without the crash in Gent-Wevelgem and then covid ruined everything from September onwards & kept him out of the World Championships.
And now going from Ineos to UAE? It was a no-brainer for me. Didn’t you all see how he out sprinted Pogacar in the Giro?

I think only a couple of us have Onley.

I think he'll be a very good pick for you - of course that's easy to predict now that he's already halfway towards profit 😉 But he should get a lot of chances even if he's Pogacar's sidekick for most of the big races. And the Italian classics suit him so well. Honestly, I think he has potential to reach 2000 points - if he gets more consistent, which is the main reason why I (too) quickly dismissed him. Usually he has shown up in peak condition two race days a year and been invisible for the rest of the season.

Still, picking a rider who had their best season by 500 points and hoping he'll now land well above 1000 points is generally a no starter for this game. At least I don't gamble on perfect following perfect.

Probably, Though Jakob747 does have both Finn Fisher-Black, Oscar Onley, Luke Plapp, Thomas Gloag and Albert Philipsen so should see a fair bit of points as well. Still Vine, Narvaez, Brennan will probably still have the slight edge over Onley and FFB which is the main differences between the teams.

It also helps DJ Sprtsch that he has a bit of a lead already.

Hello @Shakes:

Thanks again for your cool website.

Regarding the rider combo search:

Would it also be possible to show the Player Rank instead of the PlayerID in the results and sort it also by rank?

For example, I just wanted to see where I stood in comparison to all the other players who had also chosen the Vingegaard and van Aert combo.

Nice.

Congrats to your pick! It looks really good for him and you right now, although I have to say, that his schedule could be better for future scoring. Unlike last years Hirschi´s schedule, he is scheduled to ride a lot together with Pogacar until the tour at least...

First win of the season for my team thanks to Morgado. Don't have a whole lot of riders in action next week on account of neither Visma or Lidl doing Mallorca or AlUla, so him starting the season in flying form is really helpful.
Think I have 10-11 riders from those two teams as well, which is sort of inevitable, the way some of the more obvious selections worked out this year. The downside is weeks like this, as one of the joys of this game for me has been having a spread of riders across different teams and races throughout the calendar. Might explain why I'm usually pretty rubbish at it though.

10-11 is fairly average this year. I have taken it to the extreme with 16, and Morgado is the most expensive of the other 18...

I've just realised that I didn't include Withen. I think I had just assumed that he was one of the early names I had locked in, so that when I was looking at cheap or free picks lick Van der Meulen and Grisel I was not intending them to be instead of him.

D'oh.

Well I'm hoping that my 5 or so riders from Ceramica today were just warming up for tomorrow. Quite a poor show. Nice to see that Alexys Brunel sneaked into profit while I wasn't looking on Friday.
I should get about 300 points in Australia tomorrow (hopefully) ... any Valencia points a bonus.
