Why are you hijacking this thread? If you want to debate cancellaras place in the all time tt specialists list could you create a new thread?
How is arguing about the abilities of a rider that potentially is the best cyclist of the last 5 years hijacking a thread that is asking who the best cyclist of the last 5 years is:confused:

He is trying to reignite the debate about how cancellara is not the best ttr of all time. I agree with that, but there are other threads that exist about that discussion.

I am boycotting the poll. Only 2 riders listed and "other". Not good enough.
Agreed, why create needless complaints? There aren't many others who really merit inclusion - Gilbert, Boonen and Cavendish all stand out as setters (or potential setters) of some impressive records, but there are few others who have produced season after season like them.

Why did you put this poll up while I wasn't at the computer? Not one but at least three people have pre-empted my trademark Vos pick.

Nevertheless: Marianne Vos.
I like your pick, but I think Contador would beat her.

Preposterous, a poll should be objective. In which case there should be a chance to choose between the riders who standed out most during the last 5 seasons, of whom there are 5 according to me.

1.Contador
2.Gilbert
3.Cancellara
4.Cavendish
5.Boonen

Boonen and Contador are the best classics and tour riders of this generation but I think Cancellara has some talents beyond any TT specialist before him.

I've never seen anything quite like this:

Boonen is the best cobbled rider of his generation for sure, but I think it's a bit to soon to say he's the best overal classic rider of his time since he only won 2 different monuments, if he would've won MSR I would have to agree with you.

Contador/Cancellara/Boonen/Cavendish

Cant pick the best one, but these guys would deffinetly be up there.

(I dident add Gilbert as he hasent really been around doing what he does for a full 5 years(At the level he has been at the last 2 years))

Best cyclist of those active during 5 years (ie. also counting results previous) - Boonen
