The best fanboy comments

Here is one of my all-time favorites. I like it because it shows originality and an appeal to science:

if both of them took the drugs together, why is [Tyler] positively tested 2x and lance was not.if they used together, they used the same technique or whatsoever so they should have tested both positive......common sense people

I don't know what's sadder, the premise or the fact you actually have 'favourites' and archive them...

I think ive probably retweeted hundreds over the last few days.

Some of the better ones:

Floyd and Tyler arnt chemists. Lance could have been injecting anything, how did they know it was EPO.

DamonPettit @PaulRaats @lancearmstrong Let's not forget
@60minutes still run reports that Kennedy was killed by Lee Harvey. They have an agenda

kmorrison1121 still believe 100% @lancearmstrong is innocent. I
think we can all tell Mr. Hamilton isn't telling the truth. It's a shame!

kecaps @lancearmstrong I just took off my #livestrong bracelet. I
still support cancer patients, just not you. Your many cover ups nearly worked.

matthewemay Tyler Hamilton on 60 Minutes...he has no story of
his own so he has to fabricate one about @lancearmstrong to sell his book. Don't buy it.

darnadudley Story on @lancearmstrong: no facts, no proof, all
hearsay. Come on people.

C17ACL Clearly wearing all Livestrong gear today in support of
American hero @lancearmstrong.

mattwalker53 @lancearmstrong never tested positive so leave it
at that. A true legend is what he is.

dpr8ter I'm getting really tired of hearing about all these doping
cases against @lancearmstrong just let it go, no positives=no drugs!!

straumoy @BarackObama About time you put a Stop2 the
manhunt for @lancearmstrong?Is the President aware of the public spending in this investegation?

KarluzSoza @lancearmstrong I HAVE NO DOUBTS... THAT YOU
ARE CLEAN

MissIndiana2009 Finding it odd that the cyclists accusing
@lancearmstrong of doping are only ones who have been caught doping themselves. #neverfailedatest

anne_m1 @lancearmstrong is NOTguilty!! Who doubt read the
meaning of jealousy & envy on Wikipedia then you will understand! #stoptheliarsandcheaters

Mutleysdad @lancearmstrong livestrong is brilliant and your work
there is wonderful, but i feel so cheated by you. i used to be a big fan (

ShaneCulleton I took off my yellow wristband tonight. I got it when

this Huffington Post comment is gold because he supports his argument by posting a link to Ekimov's denial of....well everything.

I don't believe Tyler Hamilton nor Floyd Landis and CBS does not know what George Hincapie had to say. Pure speculatio*n and lies. Lance Armstrong is one of the greatest athletes in the history of the sport of cycling and it's sad how folks are willing to take him down.

read the link below : at least not all of his teammates are traitors:

Check out this asshat Brandon posting on rideclean facebook page

"Do some research on tell tale signs that a person is lying and then watch the interview. I trust this rat fink as much as I do Landis now. It's called body language. Police, CIA, NSA, they all use it......Hamilton couldn't even put a full coherent story together. And just because the future author boy over here decides to come clean, that just means it's true?? I can't trust a person who seems to have questionable motives. He says he just wanted it off his chest. Yet his interview is only about implicating Lance. If he had a problem with it, he should have walked out, but he didn't. Besides, once you lie under oath, I'll never, EVER, trust you again

BUT, don't get me wrong! I support clean sport,TODAY! Dwelling in this past, wasting money, and inevitably nothing will be found. Unless Lance himself admits. We need to focus on the sport today. Keeping not only the pros clean, but amateurs. I just keep hearing about more and more amateurs getting caught at national events, and they're not even winning! It really hit home when found out about a cat 4 guy I race with in AZ who dopes (allegedly). There's just soooo many better things we can focus on to actually help the sport.

From what I know, he was influenced about what was written in that article above. He knows he's over the hill and will never go pro, but there's the feeling better results give you that might be hard to fight......and like I said before, a proven liars supposed "truth" this time doesn't mean squat"

I must admit this one gave me a chuckle (from the 60 min cbs site)

"You people just relish destroying people. His life story is a
beautiful event. Your guys are a joke. Your after 60 minutes is just as bad. Grow up Pelly. Maybe your 60 minutes on cbs news will be short lived.
Scott Armstrong is one of my real heroes. And not as a cyclist but as one that beat cancer, raised untold millions for continuing cancer research.
What have you done lately Pelley, huh??????"

Some of these are so far out I'm not sure if they are serious or intended as parodies of Armstrong supporters:

remember it was stated that enough EPO was givin to elevate red blood cell level....but never enough to tip the scale ...to make a positive reading............CASE CLOSED...............did not cheat period

REMEMBER.............there has never been any testimony about hes first 2 TOURS or before
clean as hes team was

Thats what i like to call....
THE CLEAN YEARS. 1994 -2000

.so do what you will he has 2 TOURS , numberous STAGE wins , WORLD CHAMPION ,
so many American tour and 1 day classics to list

cut the man a little slack

IDIOTS.
Do you suppose for a moment that the French wanted to crown Lance Armstrong ( an American)with all those Tour honors. Do you really think that as "the most tested rider in history" the European authorities did not want to hang him up as an example of the ugly American cheater?
Get real and get off the conspiracy bandwagon.
If they had an ounce of PROOF it would have been out already.
Its hearsay, nothing more.

Who is to be believed the cheater or the champion?
If you believe the admitted cheaters you are an idiot.
If they had proof, out with it. Testify to the FBI.
Or tesitfy to the UCI either way.
They can't.

The "news" agencies like 60 Minutes need to spend more time and energy investigating BO's place of birth (his grandmother says he was born in Kenya, and she was there to witness the event) and other important issues rather than going after an entertainer's potential use of a performance enhancing substance.

I never took much notice of these comments until the past few days, reading the responses to the CBS program. I don’t archive them, but some stick in my mind.

I think it’s justifiable to point these out, because so much of the support for Armstrong is now based on ignorance, and one of the main weapons against ignorance is exposure, and when that ignorance is willful, ridicule. If someone says, I know he doped, I know he cheated, I know he lied, and maybe he even took advantage of cancer, too, but I still respect him for all he’s done for cancer, I can respect that opinion as legitimate. But when someone’s support is based on what Will Rogers (I think) said “what folks know that just ain’t so”, that support is phony and should be held up as such. No issue can have a real debate until everyone is acquainted with and agrees on certain facts.

Tyler Hamilton on Facebook

As soon as the show ended I watched the web-only extras. Then I immediately went to Tyler Hamilton's Facebook page. There were dozens of vile remarks left, all saying more or less the same thing. I replied to each one and said they were paid trolls working for Public Strategies and giving the URL to their "crisis management" webpage.

Immediately I was attacked by the same three or four guys repeatedly using the most vile and disgusting language imaginable. Then they started a rumor that clicking the URL to Public Strategies would install "spyware" on your computer. I guess they were afraid that people would find out what was really going on.

It seemed to have an effect because within a half-hour they all stopped posting. After that, all that got posted on Tyler's page were messages of support. Pretty clearly an organized attack, and not too hard to figure out where it came from... Now all the nasty posts have been deleted.

There is some truly absurd behaviour from both sides of the fence.

+1. Self-awareness is the first casualty of gloating. In fact, it's probably second after pleasantness.

So, they're fans. And they're wrong. Big deal. Let them get on with it. Who cares.
