The big deal is this: the gloating is a result of the superiority Armstrong and his fans have expressed years back. You may not remember the stupid stories about cadence, practicing mountain stages during christmas, living for the sport 'unlike anyone else', etc. 'New cycling,' it was sometimes called and the more naïve fans embraced it. Doping was a problem of the old-fashioned europros.

In addition, there was the extremely unpleasant tendency of some to equate Armstrong's battles in the Tour with his struggles against cancer, giving the protagonists in cycling a moral dimension that was completely unjustified.

Of course, now that pack of lies has collapsed, we've all got to let go of the past. No way. Let the people who filled this cup, drink it too.

There you have it.

I finally get to post on this thread.

The best fanboy comments are " *** edited by mod *** "

Knew it all along. It is a tough crowd. ;)

Dave.

Pure win :p

The mod's are by far the best in "quoting" us fanboys.

I believe you should have left my post.

Self moderation but the group works best. We had the issue in hand and was judged by his peers.

Moderating it out looks like myself was out of line - which I wasn't.

Um, whatever you said, she said it better for you?

Dave.

The mod note at the bottom very clearly states:

Reason: quoting deleted material

Don't see how that indicts you in any way.

Anyway, the thread serves zero constructive purpose and does nothing to further any dialog. Losing a few posts isn't going to make one iota of difference. There will be plenty more opportunities to post more "fanboy comments" and equal opportunity to debate them.

Have you ever heard of Lance Armstrong? Um, "aggresively [sic] determined to put everyone down." That is Lance's whole gestalt.

Funny you ask that - as you are probably the best person to answer it.

I look forward to it being nill so that you bunch of losers can get some lives instead of deciding which circumstancial evidence fits either side of your argument and managing to create incredibly 'factual' accounts from nothing at all whilst sitting behind a computer probably, as one pro put it, with a picture of Victoria Pendleton on your desktop.

I guess that makes me a 'hater' and I'll be lambasted to hell with talk of 'justice' and 'the truth' as usual, kinda ironic from a bunch of guys who have already decided people are guilty before trial (innocent until proven guilty?), especially as the best way of apparently doing this is to just swear and abuse anyone who's bored at either side whining about some circumstancial evidence which you've managed to spin into rock solid proof that whatever happenned. Sad.
