It is a sin to waste water. I think there is a law that the water on the west side of the great divide is only to be used on the west side of the great divide, conversely eastern water flowing off the rockies is to be meant to be used by eastern states and users.
However my Lance is a villan for wasting water. No, no Lance. You cannot waste water even if it is owned by the biggest oil man in Tehas, ripping off the Oglala Aquifier Underground river source. Yes big oil owns the mid-western aquifier.

You may want to re-check your geography given that the Colorado actually flows through the City of Austin.

Lower Colorado River Authority
3700 Lake Austin Boulevard
Austin, TX 78703

According to the City of Austin:

The City of Austin draws water from the Colorado River into three treatment plants and 29 reservoirs. Water is collected from Lake Austin and the western portion of Town Lake. Austin creeks that feed the river and our drinking water supply are Bull, West Bull, Dry, Taylor, Johnson, Shoal, Bee, Little Bee, Eanes, and Barton. After the water is treated, it is sent through pipes ...

...to Lance's house.

Who, according to the NY Times is the
".

the biggest individual users of water in Austin... This tremendous flow of H2O, which is 38 times what the average household in the city uses in the summer, comes as Texas is going through a dry spell ... city water records suggested that his home has long been a guzzler of water ... the cyclist shot ahead of the pack, topping the city’s list of residential water users

Looks like about 320,000 gallons/month of conspicous consumption.

Excessively wasting our most basic life necessity. Now there is a guy you can trust to save the planet, cancer, world peace and hunger.

So that is about 1,280,000 full scale enemas.

Lance must be mighty clean.

Don't worry I'm sure the tax revenue will be budgeted under "programs".

Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa attended the press conference announcing the new cigarette tax revenue effort. "The California Cancer Research Act will spur job creation at the state's leading cancer research centers," the mayor opined. It is noteworthy that I have been unable to find hard data to support or even quantify this statement.

If you liked the blurred lines of Livewrong.wtf?, you'll love:

After looking at that link, I think there is only one reasonable response.

You have to be f*cking kidding me!

PLEASE tell me that the American populace won't buy into that... Please... please...

And to those who would like buy into the "The Grand Dome of Doing Good via Lance Armstrong", you might want to look into the claim of "...directly contributing to the fight against cancer.".

How so?

Mind you, it makes me think that I should start a foundation based upon the "Fight against Social Retardation". I'm not really going to do anything to solve the problem, but I will be asking all of you for money to ensure that we are all aware of the terrible effects of the Socially ***.

Awareness is the first step in finding a cure of Social Retardation. Bearing that in mind, you should all be willing to give me donations to that end. I'm not looking for a cure, but rather working to ensure that Social Retardation awareness is something that we are all aware of.

If posters are not willing to contribute to the fight against Social Retardation, then those so willing (or unwilling) will be tagged with the title of '*** Lover'.

We have a long-range plan to build an entire compound that includes a massive condo-complex finished with rubber walls and floors. As well, we're looking at developing an arena within which we can all bathe in the glory of enjoying *** Games. All, of course, will include manifest hose spigots and drains.

Back to AWARENESS. This whole structure will operate under the premis that awareness is key. We've got our marketing and design crew fully engaged in ensuring that the *** message is front and centre.

Long live the Retards!

Note: If you find any of this content objectionable, you must love retardation. Shame on you, you probably love cancer as well.

Convincing the stupid masses to believe that stupidity awareness is a problem will succeed in spite of its stupidity.

But, I do look forward to Gunderson's explanation of how stupidity was the best thing that ever happened to him.

I'm not sure he'd say it was the best thing that happened to him, but I'd bet that the stupidity of the herd is the most profitable thing he's come accross...

They are probably already doing all of those deals. It's got nothing to do with whether or not any of those are appropriate. It's about finding a sucker willing to pay for the logo.

We won't rest until the other 4.9X Billion people on Earth are aware.

Honestly, with a world population of over 5 Billion, don't you guys think 28 Million is a rather understated number?

I always found it kind of difficult to buy that number as well. At a current population of just over seven billion, less than one half of one percent of the world's population is afflicted with cancer?

That number has always bothered me too. It seems like a number of that magnitude has no real scientific or logical method for precise quantification.

I figure that Lance and his marketing crew just came up with sort of a 'roundy-nice sounding' number ...
sad to say but I think it must be way more than that.

The 28,000,000 people are those with cancer currently.
Give or take. That is about one in two hundred or so.
10,000 forum members - about 40 of us are fighting cancer currently.

Lance used to weigh his food.
He probably had someone give some thought to the 28,000,000 estimate.
Maybe not. He is a bad bad man lol.

Just a point of clarification. You guys DO know you're talking about two different Colorado Rivers. Right?

I am ausuming there is one Colorado river, the one that starts in Colorado goes through the Coors plant to make their fine 'Banquet' adult beverage, and then is piped straight to Lances' home, right?

What? ;)

From the California Republic point of view, all water flows west except that which is siphoned off.

This is what happens when those thieving varmints take our water:

One of the early Gunderson pioneers, diverted the Colorado to Texas so that Lance could take many showers wash his car lots and hose off his driveway whenever needed..
It is all in the Manifest Destiny history. Big fight with the Lipan Apaches and Tewa Injuns.
