So in the end it will be an epic battle between the Chrises. Too sad no Alpe next year. Pantanis record would be in deep danger.

And by "some point in time" he meant "tomorrow"

All I'm sayin' is that Froome may not have an easy Tour next year, especially if RR is right about Horner going to the new Alonso team.

That is just a rumor from a Catalan newspaper, but Horner, with 8 climbing Basques and Chechu as the DS'? .......Game over

my bet is that froome will whipe horner's *** clean should they face off as team leaders in next year's tdf.

also bear in mind: in the vuelta you can dope all you want, period.
in the tdf, you can dope all you want only after powerpoint presentations at ASO headquarters. for the others it's bandwidth doping.

Here is something you should consider: All those dopers who are being humiliated by Froome and Horner...they are going to be p!ssed-off and looking for an advantage. Those two may have company.

Froome will beat him badly in the TT's but if Horner is in the same form as now he will put some time on him and Quintana.

Don't worry, Froome and Quintana are young. They still have a lot to learn. When they get to be Horners age they will be flying

Well, the "tomorrow" didn´t really pan out. But next year it will if grandpa is in the mix...

contador was supposed to be ****ed of this year already, but we didn't see much of him.
but otherwise i hope you're right, and think indeed you might be.

will be interesting.

if other teams decide to up their game to the new standards, we can expect garmin sharp to fall back pretty deep next season.

May i missed one record. Which one was it?

Did you count how many doper's climbing times Froome beat during the Tour? It was more than a couple from some isolated years...

No worries. There's always the Tour of Utah. Tommy D ripped Papi's legs of just last month.

It all depends on the outcome of the UCI Farce (election).

Only room for one Chris in Walsh' universe.
Calls out Horner:

Watched Vuelta today, Spanish TV coverage of pivotal moments inside final km was desperately inadequate but I wasn't sure I wanted to see.

Hard to take anything Walsh says seriously after all the nonsense he was tweeting to defend Dawg

Walsh is just mad because he knows Horner would drop Froome.

Exactly. Horner might be able to gain 20 sec per MTF (I don't believe this, but let's say for the sake of the argument that it's true), but then what? One 40k flat TT and Horner loses 4 minutes...

I think we'll only know that when someone is actually able to push Froome.

Quintana beat him twice and was only 29 seconds back on Ventoux. Horner would drop both of them.....then lose 2-3 minutes in a TT to Froome.

Mmmh, you actually think Froome was bothered with Quintana on those two occasions? Froome showed on Ventoux who had the bigger balls. l'Alpe and Semnoz were for the kids.

Horner would have no chance against Froome. Not uphill, and certainly not in a TT.

Unless he had a permanent tailwind of course.

edit: dont forget, no gifts on Ventoux

Froome has never gotten dropped when he has actually tried though.

Maybe, you can argue until the cows come home whether it was being dropped or not contesting. To me the point is moot which is sort of what I was alluding to. Armstrong didn't dominate every MTF, maybe some days he was "off", others he wasn't interested. As long as the overall is never in doubt there's not much to say.
