My deepest sadness in the book is reserved for Greg Henderson. Even he gets some stick at the 2010 Giro!

Apparently he didn't wait for the Dawg in the Grupetto one day! and it was his fault he held onto the motorbike that day.

I couldn't stop laughing! Still can't!

Yes even Ivan Basso was asking about what was in their protein drinks.

Yes that Ivan Basso who was later shocked at the speeds they rode at the 2012 Tour.

Seems like Basso has a preoccupation with food. ;)

"I need your help. It's hectic," he pleaded with Merino. "Birillo [Basso's codename] is waiting for us. What should I tell him? That there is nothing to eat? Soon they are in a region where we won't be able to deliver any rolls. It had been anticipated that he would get a sandwich. If there is no sausage, I make him do one with chorizo and cheese. We promised we would give him a couple of ice lollies [blood bags]."

"We want more, we want more"

Trust me. There's a lot of gold in the book. It's brilliant.

More to come.

I wonder why Froome is even putting this Henderson stuff in the book.. seems like he is almost giving the clinic what it wants.

I mean, no bot would raise an eyebrow if Froome just skipped over the whole gruppetto part of his career. But here he makes a big point of how he had to fight to keep up with the gruppetto.

Good grief.

Walsh wrote this, has stroked Froome's ego to a peak, and Froome has lapped it up, finally getting his kudos, and agreed to let this be published.

Mr Froome not very smart; dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.

If Wiggo keeps his mouth shut for 5 weeks, he will pwn Froome from here till 2016.

Just drop out a couple of spacers and gain 40 watts.

I am a man of constant marginal gains ;)

Seems like every single stage Froome has won since 2011, (which is about 10, 11 or something, 4 at the TDF alone) Sky think of some new technical or scientific detail that will help him for that stage that explains why he won that stage.

Different one every time.

I have to wonder, has Mr. Cound lost his mind by publishing this book now, just weeks before the Tour starts?

Unreal.

This is the amusing thing, you've got to assume that in the Froome's imagination this book was going to come out, and everybody was going to dismiss Wiggins getting ditched because he was apparently moody and mentally weak etc - yet this morning Wiggins has ****ed all over Froome PR wise, and reading the comments on the Guardian this morning it doesn't seem like sentiment is really going Froome's way. . .

That's going to have to smart for young Michelle you would think!

The anti froome sentiment among newspaper comments sections was the highest it could possibly get in 2012, especially misogynistic comments against Michele.

I though there is no way Froome would get cheered on and defended by that crowd in 2013.

And yet they did.

This is nothing in comparison. Its not even july yet.
