Froome’s calm temperament and humility off the bike have been commented on regularly by the media during the 2013 Tour de France.
For Cocks, one of Froome’s earliest sponsors, his temperament has always been an asset and the main reason he’s so well liked.

Chris has always had great manners and so much empathy. When he stayed at our home a few years ago when Team Barloworld did a race in our part of South Africa, he would help my wife wash the dishes and always made his own bed in the morning. Watching his TV interviews during the Tour de France, where you see a quite confidence and humility, it’s the same Chris Froome as we got to know a decade ago. He is still grounded despite his amazing success,” added Cocks.

“When Chris joined Sky in 2010, he told me he wanted to be a Grand Tour contender within five years,” said Cocks.

So even he admits it was a little fast.

The whole argument he makes is predicated on the narrow meaning. The broader meaning is incompatible with the argument he makes. So yes, it's significant, and needs to be pointed out.

For the purposes of this discussion, higher levels of compensation achieved immediately through event prizing are analogous to increases in compensation through salary. In both cases, good results typically facilitate a higher level of salary for the riders key to those results, and sometimes also an increased level of overall sponsorship for a team. The timing are mechanism is slightly different, of course, but the meaning to this dialogue is the same in each case.

So on what page does Froome discuss the "blood on the hands" concept? How does it tie into his story?

In addition to all his diseases, Froome must also bear the burden of Stigmata.

Whoa....this thread went way off on a tangent while I was asleep....gone is the fun and witty banter about how terrible the book is and how inconsistent the stories are from Froome and co.

Shame really it was a brilliant thread and the source of many of my lols and smiles.

Enough is enough, stop the "blood on hands" discussion, and get back on topic of Froomes autobiography.

I'll probably be going back through this thread a little later and cleaning it up.

Getting the thread back on track.... and speaking of blood on his hands.... Here's an excerpt from the book at the end of the 2011.

Froome appears to believe that he is leader and not Wiggins.

Dawg contract negotiations go from Sir Daves napkin assessment of a P45 before the 2011 Veulta to Dawgs demands of being a "guaranteed" GC contender for the TdF straight after.

Noyce

I did giggle that even though he wanted a "guarantee" he could go for the GC, he admits his new contract wasn't worth much.

Is it normal for ppl to think like the last para?

If Froome was in any other team, would he have got the money, British citizenship and the chance to win the Tour?

 maybe that is what the fish hack is doing.

example upcoming excerpt for the book -----Congenital Sports Induced Asthma When he was just a tyke the doctors knew that the cadence he was pedaling on his tricycle was causing his sports induced asthma. It was only a matter of time before a inhaler was needed 29 years later somewhere in Europe....

Please stop with the pedantic posts. You know that Hitch's reference to a "prize pot" is the collective pool compensation available, the vast majority of which is through salaries which are funded primarily by sponsorships exactly as you state. The substance of his statement is true.

Sometimes when I am sit in the cafe, drink the coffee, I think about Froome, out there, training in the cold and the rain, getting another infection, taking another the steroid.

I think him riding 4 more hour than coach say, turning him power meter off so he can do the lie to him coach.

Me? I rest, drink my coffee, do as my coach say. Laugh with my friend. You know? Laugh is good your immune system. Make you health. Health make you strong.

We soon see which better: more train or more recovery. Ignore coach, trust coach.

We see.

In July.

It's not about the dope for you I see. How is a suspicious rider worse than a confirmed doper who only has ridden for confirmed doping DS in the last 9 years? A ****ing crown prince to Armstrong.

Even is SKY is maxing their program, do you think it's even close to the Discovery program from 2007?

A picogram is a very small amount, a millionth of a millionth of a gram.

50pg of Clen vs 40mg of horse steroids.

You can do the math.
