I am curious about how juniors will perform with the changes to gear restrictions - I expect some juniors with bigger and more developed bodies will do better ( initially ) on bigger gears - It will add another dimension to talent spotting.

How big of gears were they allowed to ride till now? Are they really completely maxed out on gear during most of their riding? I’m nowhere near as fast but I can’t even fathom having my riding limited by gearing unless I only had a small ring.

From my untrained eye, looks like the tire came off the rim. Can we take a moment to appreciate Ellen Van Dijk's bike handling here? How she didn't crash i'll never know.

Video

Edit: It was quite nice for cycling news to tell the world it wasn't the tire after all but something else, right after I posted this.

Cavagna has not had a great year, at least individually. Still, I'd have thought the fabled TGV of Clermont-Ferrand would have more useful than Bardet, although Bardet always impresses me with his stamina in hard races.

he was pretty amazing at the Vuelta. I guess they feel they do not need a workhorse.

i wonder how they get around the rule that the riders competing in the TT also have to do the RR. Fake injury?

2. chain / shifting problem causing her to suddenly lock up or loose torque on the pedal she was pushing?

That makes sense, and it's obviously more of a problem when you are starting up and peddling with more strength to get the speed up, as opposed to when in full speed and you can stop peddling as soon as you feel something different with chain.

Looks like it's made out of cardboard.

Theory i've read is so he won't have to chase his teammate. On the other hand, i don't know if Cosnefroy is the answer to that specific problem.
