They seem to like riders with surnames of successful WT riders from the present and near past.

Two of them are literally the younger brothers of two of their (coming in Milan's case) WT riders.
They also already announced the signing of Tim Torn Teutenberg and Axandre van Petegem. Though, in those cases the successful rider(s) they share their respective names with aren't exactly "near past"

Oh, and as described in the article below; they also signed Sebastian Andersen as a DS.

Niklas Egs (Uno-X) career is Ending.
I got diagnosed with Pericarditis in July and have been keeping myself to just walks for 2,5 months. Recurred again two weeks ago, and was saying to my wife yesterday that atleast I’m not a pro athlete (just MAMIL wanker). Makes me feel a bit extra for poor Niklas.

New Polish CT team on the way - Lubelskie Perla Polski. We already have the "Heart of Poland" team and now that's joined by the "Pearl of Poland". First signing is Kacper Gieryk the recent winner of U23 Chrono des Nations and 7th at the Euro U23 TT.

2nd in the Giro was pretty good.

He definitely earned himself another 2 years just for that.
Thomas has had a quietly very, very strong career. I mean, it's known, but his longevity is seriously impressive. Part of that, I think, is because he's really not raced the spring classics in recent years.

With a little bit more luck he could have had 1-2 more GT wins.

Will be interesting what he chooses next. His last main interview on future plans was he wanted to return to Roubaix in 2022, but I guess Bernal's crash got in the way of that. I'd say he should aim for Roubaix in 24 and 25 but still target a GT win in 24 and then full-on Classics season for retirement season.

Maybe it also helps that he has let himself go in most autumns. I used to think that meant that he didn't fully have what it took but his work/life balance is probably the healthiest of all top riders and could be the reason for his surprising longevity.

I'm not that sure about. Thomas gets paid a LOT of money on Ineos, and given that you basically get one good GT and nothing else out of him in a year I really question the cost/benefit analysis on that one.

They have to send him to the Giro I imagine. If he wants the Tour and they extended him for 2M+ they're out of their minds.

Yawn.
