Torstein Træen confirmed by Bahrain.
Everyone (except RhD) knew this since Fredagsvik reported it as a done deal on August 1st.

2 year deal. Hopefully he'll make a lot of money here, gain some more experience and returns to Uno-X as a better rider in 2 years.
hopefully he'll progress and win something big there, money aside

I didn't mean intriguing as in 'why are they signing him', but intriguing as in 'I wonder how far he can go with them'. Interesting prospect who I feared was going to be ***ed over by HPH folding.
Yeah, the guy's 28 already and must have put up some very good test results (Vo2 max etc)

"However Jumbo-Visma were impressed with what they saw in racing and lab tests."

Now for a little bit of speculation.

In this article Barker, Leth, and Lowden are referred to as 'the mothers of Uno-X'. However, as far as I can see, it's only Barker who has a contract with them for next year. So, is that a subtle way to say that they have indeed extended?

Not confirmed, so no point in believing in those sort of rumours/speculations.

And do you have a source?

I'm not claiming it's confirmed, that's why I'm calling it speculation.
And my source - for the fact that they're being referred to as 'mother of Uno-X' - is the article I literally linked to in my previous post.

Big news from the Spanish junior circuit: Hector Alvarez will join Trek-Lidl in 2025. Unzue missing out on yet another Spanish prodigy, what a clown.
I honestly wonder if it's just Spaniards looking at foreign run projects and assuming they will automatically be better than a Spanish team. But then I remember those Movistar-miniseries and I get why they sign elsewhere

I am interested in Cameron Rogers - He's very talented but did no racing until September in 2023. He was listed with the Lotto Dstiny Devo team, but outside of the Aussie Nationals, he only rode Taihu Lake in 2023. Interesting that he is changing Devo teams and even more surprising that he did not to Axel Merckx's team who now has strong ties with Jayco.

Congratulations to James Whelan who got a gig with Q 36.5. He basically sold up everything in OZ at the beginning of 2023 to return to the WT peleton.

The full Lidl-Trek Development Team is here! Meet the final six riders:

🇩🇰 Martin Pedersen
🇦🇺 Cameron Rogers
🇸🇪 Jakob Soderqvist
🇺🇸 Cole Kessler
🇮🇹 Matteo Milan
🇩🇪 Niklas Behrens
They seem to like riders with surnames of successful WT riders from the present and near past.
