Poels was expecting to go to the Giro I think, hence the underwhelming display at the Tour

He was 5th on Angliru last year as a dom, still incredibly dangerous in the very high mountains and they probably got him quite cheap.
PL said that Remco really respected Landa, who kept him calm and made sure he made no irrational decisions. I think Remco needs more experienced guys like Landa and Poels around him in order to get the best out of himself.

Narvaez to Man City is a bit disappointing isn't it.
Yes, actually poles did the full altitude camp between catalunya and Trentino to prepare the giro after doing the same andalucia-tirreno-cataluna programme as Caruso and tiberi.

He was then told after Trentino that he wouldn't go to giro, and so he carried his form to Hungary

However after Hungary he didn't do anymore training camp to prepare le tour and was just riding at home.

Apparently he was quite motivated to get a stage win in giro to complete the treble, and also to help tiberi. After missing out he probably didn't carry the same motivation into the summer. I think he is still a very useful rider, probably at 50 years old even he's still more useful than moscon for remco

Moscon was reliable in the Tour and the best for positioning Evenepoel (for the gravel too). Lampaert was totally useless on the other hand.

Soudal - Quick Step news.

According to Wielerflits:

Moscon and Pedersen to stay for 2 years
Asgreen to Tudor
Masnada to leave
Alaphilippe not yet decided

Schachmann and Paret Peintre to join
Racagni Noviero from U23 to main roster

Dylan Teuns, hasn't done a lot in IPT (he talked more then he did, litle bit like froome). he is apparently passed his pick form, and i dont think IPT are sad to see him go.

He literally was like 100m off the 2nd place in Flanders this year. He was also top 8 best in LBL and came 2nd in Brabantse Pijl. Then didn't get selected for the Tour after preparing for it. Results don't show everything.

Will be a very valuable rider for Cofidis in the bigger races.

Hmmm, I wonder when Quickstep will sign Geraint Thomas or Michal Kwiatkowski now. Maybe get Henao and Nieve as well.
Ineos is about to get so out of everything that it would be good if the whole team collapsed. I mean they seem to need so big overhaul, everything's about gone down down after Nico Portal passed away and Brailsford went to another position. Well some small nice bites here and there, but big picture got broken, I think.

Kwiato probably could be super DS for any team, but dunno if he's interested.

And according to this overview, he's already been rumoured to three other teams:

Kasper Asgreen (Soudal - Quick-Step):

-> Ineos Grenadiers (Daniel Benson. Juli)
-> Cofidis (GCN. 23. april)
-> Uno-X (GCN 14. april)

Everything that has come out of people around Uno-X points towards Asgreen never been a real option for them as he’s too expensive. I don’t think there is any reason to expect him ending up there.

you forget that dylan, was in pick form in bahrain, before move to IPT in the middle of the year in order to save it from relegation, shaking stephen adams hands enthusiasticly saying how much he suffer in bahrain and just wanted to show himself in is desired IPT team, team retire one of its rider to let him in so he can score points (back then you needed to be top ten to count, so they remove the guy in tenth place for him), then he didn't made any points at all, and then admit he can really help saving the team from relegation, after another poor result, then he had 2 more years to pass doing much less then expected from him,

Guy Sagiv was nowhere near the top 10 back then when he got replaced by Teuns. Teuns scored 200 points from August onwards, not that great, but he was still Israels 3rd or 4th best scorer in the timespan he was there (in 2022). Not his fault Israel was already buried when Teuns came in, saving them was mission impossible. Adams should've known that, he didn't. Also Teuns went to Israel for the money (again not his fault that Adams wants to give that) and Verbrugghe being there.

You can have an opinion whether he is still a good rider or not, but let's not lie or only look at results. They don't say everyting. I'm sure he didn't get the results Israel wanted or expected (they overrated him anyways), but at least this year his legs were somewhat there this year and with a bit more luck he has 1000+ UCI points.
