how long before ALULA takes full ownership of the Jayco-Alula team? Gerry Ryan won't be splashing the cash forever

Jerry Ryan is sponsoring the new itineration of the Australian National Road Series in 2025. He also dabbles in horse racing, australian rules and rugby league. He is a man for all seasons! At some stage, Gerry will sell the licence, however, he will charge a pretty penny.

It's more his presentation, he looks like he is destined to play Mr Darcy in an ITV period drama remake one day.

According to Spanish newspapers Marca & As, Movistar has secured Aular and Tesfatsion for next year.

Diego Pescador is also likely to join the team, while Higuita seems no longer an option (rumours of Astana) and both Quintana and Gaviria will extend.

The team does not look good for next season given they lose Aranburu and Lazkano, two of their top-5 scorers, though I think they are probably safe given their current gap to Arkea, Uno-X and Astana.

Yeah, that is shaping up to be one rough campaign. Here is to hoping that guys like Pelayo Sanchez and Carlos Canal can deliver good results on a more consistent basis.

As I was already asking in the Movistar team forum though, one question will remain with the current state of the 2025 roster:

Who exactly is going to win a race for this team? Lazkano and Aranburu didn't do so a lot either, but they at least were in the mix a lot of times. Maybe Aular can replace the latter formidably, but I am a little skeptical.

Let's hope Gaviria continues in the trend of this year. He's having his best year since 2019. The only thing that eludes him is that prestigious victory.

Wins? Neither of them have won a WT level race this year and Aranburu has 1 Pro win. Aranburu gains UCI points, which is a concern. Lazkano hasn't really even done that.

Aranburu has 1 pro win? Are we sure we're talking about the right rider?
