So, what is Campenaerts gonna do at JV? Donkey work to keep breakaways in check and maybe breakaways on hilly Giro stages? Not exactly a big name signing for them...
recent TDF-stage winner, former world hour record holder, solid classics domestique, seasoned vet with one of the most crazy work-ethics in the peloton which can inspire every young rider.

"not exactly a big name signing"

there's a growing number of users on this forum who believe that teams like Visma, Ineos, UAE etc should only sign riders who can win WT stage races

I didn't get my most likely Uno-X women's prediction posted in time, cause Alberte Greve has now been announced as a new signing. My other bet would have been on them also getting Wilma Aintila from Lotto, but with 17 confirmed contracts for next year already, I'm not sure they'll sign more riders.

Last year, I thought that either Uno-X or COOP would pick up Emma Dyrhovden, but it didn't happen then, and I don't know if it ever will.

Growing speculation that the Matxin issue is connected to the disquiet surrounding Ayuso. He is the best scout in the world by a considerable distance, and the one person apart from Pogacar that they cannot afford to lose. It's fairly clear he has fed the article to Marca as either a signal to other teams or a negotiation strategy with the sheiks, but if you're Astana, Bora, Ineos or any team with a bit of spare/incoming cash you have to be banging the door down with a truck full of money if you see that.

There ain't much scouting involved when you throw big $ on an unlimited budget to riders that are top of the food chain in their age class.

I agree, but Torres is a very recent example of why scouting is still very important.
Very true, Pablo Torres was an impeccable find. Not many, if any, could come up with that. He certainly didn't catch my attention. However, he is also the exception to the rule. We armchair users on this forum could discover Ayuso, Morgado, Christen or Del Toro, as proven evident by the junior thread.

I think I was the first one here mentioning Del Toro, where is my seven figures oil money contract?!

I heard Broe talk about a potential (although probably unlikely) double deal with Matxin and Ayuso. That is gonna be hella expensive though, but it makes sense, Ayuso is his prodigy, Matxin wants more money and Ayuso will get to lead every race on the calender. Astana and the Chinese dollars were mentioned.

How much would it cost to buy Ayuso out of the contract? And what does he and Matxin wants a year?

The 19 year old Mexican Isaac del Toro who finished 11th on Balea Lac yesterday looks like someone to keep an eye on. Already 10th on the gc in the u23 Course the la Paix this year and a few top 10 results in hilly Italian one day races.

Yes July 2023 first mention on here unless you count Libertine doing races around the 'Del Toro' region in some random Central American race design thread, not bad. Not sure when he actually came under the UAE umbrella (was definitely before Avenir) as these things are always a bit murky but I think if it was before June then they can have some of the credit, I suppose there's a difference between noticing these guys and signing them for the biggest team in cycling.

I'm surprised none of them have looked at Eulálio, though the Portuguese conti scene.. well yeah.

Del Toro was actually on his way to Caja Rural before l'Avenir.
