I had hoped for a return to EF, but let's see if Astana can keep him on the right track.

Also very self sufficient from a young age. Moved to Como at a young age to train better (without speaking any Italian at all) right before the initial Covid outbreak and was stuck there.

Give him a schedule similar to prime Rui Costa and you should get value for money.

I suppose you have to look at their current crop of young climbers. I think Hellmose would be better than Porter, Pena and probably Berhe.

Even tho they are far from special or consistent, Pena and Berhe have showed way more than Hellemose. Agree about Porter but he's basically been not fit since he became pro.

I assume Hellemose still has good numbers to show, otherwise I don't really understand this transfer. His u23 years were decent tho.

Had him in my Emerging riders CQ game a couple of years ago, because I thought he looked like a very under-the-radar good climber as an U23. But now I no longer believe he'll become something great. He's probably on a cheap contract though and can do a decent job as a random climbing domestique. Last time he had the level to be top 20 in smaller hilly/mountainous stage races, so not worse than many others run-of-the-mill WT riders like Palzer, Elissonde etc.

Very reasonable. He's a bit of an odd case because you'd think he could climb like Superman Lopez because of his size, but he's basically a puncheur.

I rate her on the second tier of sprinters behind Wiebes, Kool and Balsamo. She's barely raced this year, however, with a well selected program in 2025, she should win 5 or 6 races.

Wouldn't surprise me if Higuita becomes a better late than never replacement for Fuglsang!

Ya, he should be riding things like the french cup races. Get a full De Lie/Cosnefroy season.

It would make sense, really. Red Bull is clearly looking for a leader with charisma and attractiveness, with capability to win the worlds biggest races, something they are lacking currently. Take the links with Specialized into account and you've got a good if not perfect match.
